Default Question on outfitting a crib
Okay so I'm a little lost here on how to outfit the crib. There are some nice blankets and quilts out there but it's also noted that the baby should not be too warm and quilts can't be used until they're at least 12 months old.

So my question is how do u layer the bedding on ur crib ?

Mattress > Waterproof protector > Crib sheet > Any others ?

Also, I live in a hot, humid, tropical country. Thanks all !

You won't use the beautiful crib quilt you buy. Just buy some swaddling blankets.
Mine went:
mattress - waterproof cover - sheet - sheet - sheet - sheet.

LOL! Seriously, it's kind of a PITA to change the sheets so I layered a bunch w/ thin sheet protectors between.

I have a 9 month old, she only has a crib sheet in her crib. She goes to bed in warm clothing and I believe bumpers are just useless and harmful. If you can afford it, but a nice blanket, etc... but you won't be using it for a while...

I did a mattress cover (waterproof), then a cotton sheet. I used sleep sacks if it was chilly -- either fleece or cotton, depending on how temperature -- until he was 12-14 mo. old. After that, I used one blanket, either flannel or a fleecy one. It very rarely stays on him at all, since he's all over the place. No layers, no pillow, no bumpers (which means that half of my cute crib set is still in the package...)

I never used the blanket. I actually use it as a backdrop behind the crib since it matches the bedding. I just have the mattress protector, crib sheet, bumper, and bed skirt. I then bought multiple crib sheets to match the set.
