So I'm 5 weeks and I'm having cramps. Not constant or all the time, they just come and go and move from the right to the left. They actually woke me up last night. Anyone else experiencing this and if you did in your preganancy how long did it last?

Are you still having them? Any bleeding or discharge? Or any other symptoms?

Hi LV Luvr...those beginning signs of pregnancy can really freak you out if you don't know they're coming!

Cramps like you would feel when you're about to start (or have just started) your period are completely normal and may last your entire first trimester. Heavy craming should be reported to your OB.

I had light cramping with both of my kids throughout my first trimester. As long as they are not heavy and there is no bleeding associated with them, it is completely normal. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am 6 weeks and I also have cramping! Mine comes and goes as well and it's a dull annoying pain...urgh...I wish it would go away soon. And oh yah, my boobs hurt (they haven't gotten a full size up yet) but just the water from the shower beating down on them...can I say OUCH!?

Yep, it's probably your uterus stretching. It's a weird feeling, but it'll go away.

I had cramping around that time too. That is your uterus moving up....at least I remember that is what my doctor told me.

Yep same thing for me too, especially first pregnancy! Doc said it was just uterus expanding. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I am now 7 weeks and I have it quite a bit too. Not painful but there. They say if you experience cramps more painful than what you get during/before you period, go to the doctor. Hope you feel better!

I had period-like cramps weeks 5 & 6, and then again at week 8 and then again at week 12, and thankfully that was the end of cramps. my midwife told me not to stress and that they're normal unless they become excruciating.
