omg wasabi- i m heck moody and cranky, i cry way too much over everything... maybe i am having a girl then??? I think i'll find out in a week or two... this pregnancy is so different from my first, my DS was sooo active, i felt him at 12/14 weeks kicking like crazy, and this one is very calm at 18wks, i don't feel as bad and didn't have to trow up as much as with the first... i don't crave sweets at all, but salty stuff- so all the oposite of the first pregn. -> girl???

no snow- i feel dizzy and fainty sometimes, i noticed that too... that's from dehydrathion? I gotta get more water then

iranei- great news! Glad you've got it under control. Do you have to watch not to eat too much sweets, or how does that work?

everyone else by the way: congrats on you guys already finding out what you're having! that's so exciting, i can barely wait to see for myself :)

I don't get dizzy or fainty, but I just read that 2nd trimester drops your BP a bit, so maybe that's part of the cause?

Coach- It's my carbs I have to REALLY watch out for (avoid potatoes, white breads, anything not "whole grain"). I can have sweets (the first tri of my pregnancy, I was eating cookies, candy and pastries A LOT...), but just smaller portions (so, I can't have like a whole candy bar, but I can have a fun sized bar, or instead of two scoops of ice cream, I'll have one with no added sugar)...spaced out through the day. And I eat more protein and veggies, which was an adjustment for the first month, but I like it a lot more.

I have two more weeks to go before I find out for sure...Only thing that makes it better is that the first two weeks went by FAST!

I forgot to mention, my kid seems to like Aerosmith. LOL Normally the kid doesn't start moving around until after I eat breakfast! Not today!

I have satellite radio and I'm always on the the 70s or 80s channel and as soon as an Aerosmith song played, it was just moving wildly. I thought it was a fluke, but when I got in the car again to get something to eat at lunch, another Aerosmith song was playing and the kid was moving again LOL.

Just wanted to give this a bump to see how my octo ladies are doing. We had our U/S finally and our little guy was a total ham for the camera. Here are a few pics. I would love to see yours ladies when you have them. We had our check-up and state of the union appt yesterday and everything is going perfect she said. I was a bit anemic though but an iron supplement on top of the pre-natal straightened that right up.
Hope you all are doing well

^^ Nice strong heartbeat NoSnow!

I'm getting excited! Monday is the BIG u/s! DH and I are going to start registering that day too, since we decided to have one of the baby showers earlier than planned. We have to have two baby showers because my hometown is about 2 hours away from where I live so we're having one at the end of August, and the other one at my house sometime in September. It's so crazy to think about these things, but the middle of June is already coming up! 4 more months ladies! Holy cow!

ooh oooh, add me into the Oct mom list! I'm expecting sometime end of Oct, maybe 28th? Baby boy will be our first child (though DH was hoping for a girl, lol).

Being feeling fine. no nausea (except when I brush my tongue, after brushing my teeth...dunno if that's just a strong gagging reflex or what but dinners and desserts have come up that way when I brush my tongue. yuck!).

Anyone else had major burps throughout their 1st trimester? I was burping constantly and loudly! I don't used to burp much at all and definitely not ones that rival my DH! lol.

congrats maomee!!! I'm also expecting October 29th I believe :) I'll race you

iranei- yes you're right, almost 4 months- WOW, time flies... better enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible- ladies!

Everyone: Do you have any pains so far? My tailbone started hurting a lot lately, especially when I get up at night. It hurts so bad that it goes over to the *cheecks* and dosen't go away for a while... Is that normal? I don't remember that with the first. It's just so uncomfortable, does it have to do with the way I lay in bed? Sometimes I wake up on my back even tho I know I shouldn't be sleeping on my back...

I haven't gone to a gyn yet *shame* still waiting for insurance papers to clear so I can go. I'm hoping for next week. Can't wait to hear what I'm having, altough DH and I have decided we won't tell anyone :) This way its more fun... I m rooting for a girl, so is DH, but i don't want to be disappointed if its a boy either... Ohhh... this thread just totally excited me about being pregnant

Coach- When are you going in for your BIG u/s??? Your pain sounds like sciatic nerve pain... I wish I knew of more tips to relieve it...they say a pillow between your legs helps at night, sit with a pillow proping the small of your back. Not sure if hot/cold compress treatment is allowed (ice 10 mins, heat 10 mins rest and repeat)...ask your doc. It's quite common.

Maomee- Welcome! I'm due end of October as well No burps, but wicked GAS on the other side. LOL

Hi Maomee. I can't say I burped. I had the OTHER kind of gas instead. it's embarrasing. I told the DH "She is soo YOUR daughter".

I have had some sharp pains. not the tush area but on the side. I'm assuming it's the ligaments expanding.

Ohh babyshowers. I'm starting to discuss this with my sister. I want something small but the DH wants to use our wedding invite list as a base for the guest list (first grandchild on his side of the family). I told him he was nuts. but he's excited what can i do.

The otherday the DH felt her move the the first time. I asked him to place his palm on my belly and she kicked/elbowed - on cue. The look on his face was priceless. got me all teary eyed.

Hey ladies!!! I went in and had my US yesterday... Was rooting for a girl, but we are having another BOY! We are happy that our boys will grow up together and be best buds! It is also good financially because we won't have to buy much!

Anyway, here is our US pic! We also got 4D pics too (soo amazing to see), but they didn't turn out too well because of the way he was positioned. I have to go back in 2 weeks and get another US because we didn't get a clear view of his heart either... I will hopefully get better 4D pics then!
