Hey gals, just checking in to see how y'alls are doing?
I had my 3rd OB appt on Wednesday at 12w 4d and we *may* have found out we're having a BOY! I'm still hoping for a girl (since yanno, all the parts kinda look the same at that point in time), but there was no mistaking one part was "longer". Baby cooperated quite well with us, as the NP had TWO perfect shots of "that" area since his legs were crossed at his feet and his thighs were wide open (no shame). What do you guys think? Dead center in the photo: ![]() I'm still going to request at my next two u/s that they keep checking the area, only because I was supposed to be a boy too. And didn't I read somewhere that 3 lines mean girl? Ugh, so hard to tell! We're just happy it's doing well! |

Yep that angle doe slook very "boy" like! But mine looked like that at that angle also, then profile looked like a girl! So you & I are in the same boat! Looks like we may have to wait for more confirmation later on! Sucks!

I thought i felt a few movements, but mostly only in the early morning a couple of times, it felt like a little "jump" or kick, and I m pretty sure it wasn't gas or anything else "blubbering" lol. But so far i have only felt it a handful of times, I guess it's still early. With my first one i "noticed him" around 12 wks as well...

Oh Men, with my boy i was constantly praying to the porcellan gods, with this one I only feel weird once in a while (like today) and most of the other days I feel fine... Does this mean it's a girl then? lol.

^^ lucky i've gained 8lbs at 16 weeks. Our 3rd appt. at 16 weeks we didn't get to see him only hear his strong heartbeat. We were hoping to check out the "goods' boy or girl. but OB said baby is still too small to check. Next appt. is May 23. Hopefully we'll see something.
I'm feeling more fatigued than I did weeks ago. is it just me? I thought the books said 2nd trimester i'm supposed to get all energized and whatnot. I find it very difficult to get out of bed in the morning, some days I sleep for 10 hours. I know i should be thankful but i'm just sooo tired all the time.

May is such an exciting month for us October mommies! Most of us will be finding out what our little bundle of joy will be and I for one can't wait! I'm so happy everyone seems to be doing well.
We go back for an apt. Monday and we'll schedule our U/S for a few weeks later. I've felt a very light little flutter a few times that I'm thinking was baby but can't be sure. My belly has gotten to what seems to be gigantic proportions already and it's so exciting. I have been craving tons of PBJ's and fruit and I know just what you mean Wasabi, I seem to be tired quite a bit lately. Has anyone started decorating yet? I would love to hear about your progress so far

I feel like my tummy is hughe at the end of the day! After sleeping and getting up in the morning it has almost completely disappeared... lol. I gained around 10lbs so far, and I don't think i will be decorating since we live in a 2 bdrm appt and my son is already occupieing the second. The baby will stay with us in our bedroom for the first time (unless we move into a house before it's born) I love ANANAS right now, remembering my Hawaiian Trip from last year, and their fresh ananas at the saturday markets.... so I run to costco and get me some every few days...
I've been also craving chicken "nuggets" or whatever they're called, you know the ones that applebees calles "boneless chickenwings" lol...

I would love to see/hear decorating ideas. Dh and I have perused the babt stores looking at strollers and cribs. We're thinking plain white for the baby's room and the furniture, blankets and pillows will accent the room. I'm not much for decorating as you ladies can see. However, we will be working with a fresh canvas. :) We are starting to remodel our house, I know, right, great planning on our part. we'll be moving in with the inlaws soon. I'm sure that will be a wonderful experience. Hopefully all will go well.
I'm craving fruit and seasalt. anyone else craving salt? i know its bad for you, water retention, edema.... i do try to stay away. I've never been to hawaii. what's Ananas Coachmommyofmin? |

Totally right on with the fruit and salt! I am 20 wks but starting around 14-15 wks all I wanted was fruit (strawberries, blueberries, green apples) and cucumbers! And any type of snack that's salty, like "sea salt" flavored pita chips!
