We also scheduled our maternity pics Ang. We'll be getting them done in the next few weeks. We'll do some in the studio and some on location at the place where we got married and at Lake Mi. We managed to get the same photographer from our wedding and I was so happy he could take them. He did an amazing job with our wedding pics so I know our maternity pics will be just as great. We are also having him take the little guys baby pics too. Hopefully he can edit out those pesky stretch marks that now cover my belly. Ang, You'll have to post a few of yours and update us after your shoot. I would love to hear all about it.
irainei~ We stated our classes last week and we go once a week for a month. Last week was our first class and hubby and I loved it. It was really informative and hubby was really excited afterward. I have a breast feeding class tonight (I told hubby he could skip that one, lol) but it's only one class. I would say take whichever classes you think will benefit you guys most. I think the class we are taking covers things that are in all our books it just was something I wanted us to do so we could ask questions and meet other couples in our area that are birthing about the same time. We'll also tour the hospital LD ward and pre-register. Had another Dr apt on Monday. Everything is going great and right on schedule. I'm so jealous you guys have had so many ultra-sounds. We've only had two and I would have loved to see him more often. We almost have everything ready, washed and organized. All we are waiting for is the window guards (his nursery is on the third floor) and then we can hang his curtains and "blinds". I had no idea how many children fell out of windows and hung themselves on blinds until I started looking into safety. It's such a problem that most states have adopted laws now about window guards. We ended up going with room darkening cordless "shades" that he could not get his head between. It's been a royal pain because we have huge windows in the nursery and really could not afford custom treatments so we had to figure something else out though in the end got it sorted. Do any of you have pics from your showers? We're not having one since everyone is so spread out so I'd love to see pics and hear all about yours. Irainei your invites sound adorable! That was so sweet of your mom to make them. |

Hey everyone, sorry I havent been on in awhile. My computer was acting up and I had to send it in to be repaired. They had to replace the whole motherboard.
Sleep, what is that??? When I can sleep my 5 year old has been getting up 4-5 times a night. I think she is trying to prepare me for her brother! I have been so nauseas lately! I never got morning sickness with this one so its weird to get it now. The midwife says its normal though. I get heartburn but mostly at night. I can hardly drink milk anymore and I feel like a burping machine LOL..... On another note keep us in your prayers. On tuesday I have to go for a level two ultrasound, because they found a Arrythmia in his heartbeat. I am hoping its not serious and I can continue going to the birthing center I am going to. If not I have to switch to a regular dr and deliver in a hospital. Here is is pic of Yandel at his 3D ultrasound at 29 weeks. |

Tiki~ Keep us updated. I'm keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
OK, last night was by far the worst night yet. Total of maybe 3 hours sleep and I had to run to the bathroom around 2am and throw up. Not just a little either, way worse than even in the beginning of our pregnancy. I am so exhausted and worn out. I can tell today is going to be a rough day. Poor hubby was so worried he was ready to cart me off the the hospital but I'm feeling better now. I have no idea what it was all about but hopefully I'll be able to get a nap later. On a good note, we had class again last night. Toured the LD ward and overall had a great time. |

Thanks wasabi
Today was a little better but the nausea was still there. Maybe that's normal now that we're in the home stretch?? I've been having back pain too so maybe we are just having the start of our pre-labor symptoms.I hope you have a great time on your tour! It really was a lot of fun. Be sure to let us know how it goes

Anybody pregnant with their 2nd or subsequent? I have a 17 month old son, and I tell you, this pregnancy has been very tough. I'm much more exhausted now that I run around after him, can't bend over, etc. DH says I'm complaining much more than my last pregnancy, DUH!
Anyone else in the same boat? I'm soooo exhausted and just plain worn out. |

^^I go back and forth between this thread and the Nov. one since my due date was moved up to 10/25 (although, I think the baby is just big - just like our DS was)....anyway...
I hear ya! WOW! What a difference to be PG and have one at home! Now, I am a SAHM - but when I was PG with our DS, I was working so I would wake up (5am), go to work, come home and take a nap, eat dinner then go to sleep (early - like 7 or 8 pm!)...now, I sometimes try to nap when DS is napping, but there is stuff that has to be done, too! I feel like I need to clean, make dinner, run errands, etc. Our DS is go, go, go...so I am up at 6am with him and he sometimes only takes one nap per day now - not good! Picking him up is getting harder, plus going up and down the stairs with him is tiring... Sometimes, I go to sleep when DS goes down (around 8:30pm)!!! Maybe nap when DS naps? Take care of yourself! |

Tiki- you are I my thoughts and prayers keep us in the loop!
Love the 3d pic! What a sweet face! Tater sorry to hear about the sickness and lack of sleep- we are almost there girl! hang in there! My newest drama is my work and them treating me unfairly, I think! I told my boss I was pregnant when I was like 9 weeks, just to give him plenty of time. And ever since then he has been such a jerk! I had planned on taking 6 weeks, becaus eour Maternitl leave is kind of crappy- I have to take 2 wks of personal time then I get STD at 75% pay. And that's it! I mean I am elegible for 12 weeks with FMLA, but I don't have much personal time left, and I am the primary provider for our family! But as I got furthr a long in the pregnancy I started realizing 6 weeks is not enough! So I called my HR to ask if part time might be available. My parents are moving down in Jan to help us out, so I would just need like 3.5 weeks of part time, my husband would do the same, and we I would work 30 hr weeks, 6am-12, and he would work 12-5. So I asked HR, and they said yes it's avaiable but up to mgrs' discretion. So I asked them if they had any examples of people taking this type of leave, just so I could have a case history to present to my boss. I was told I would be getting a call back from another rep in my division, well within 2 hrs, my boss calls me in my office and berates me for going over his head, and that I should have came to him first, etc. etc. I was so ticked! I was trying to gather info before I presented it to him! HR obviously decided to call him instead of me! Sooo anyway, I presented what I knew to him, ad he said he would get back to me.. long story short.. 4 weeks later he said he won't approve it! I was devastated! he said it wasn't in the company's best interest.. sooo I'm just gonna take the 12 full weeks now and he can kiss my a$$! My family is much more important than this damn job! But a part of me really wants to fight this. I work in the oil & gas industry and am the ony female in my position. I feel like so many women have paved the way for me to be able to work here, and I feel obligated to continue that struggle. But yet another part of me knows that it's just my boss, and not the entire company... he is just slapping my hand for "going over his head" he is a control freak and absolutely wrong.. I did nothing wrong here! Any suggestions? |

Just want to tell you gals, like you don't already know, but please be careful in the tub or shower!
A few days ago, I slipped while shaving my legs and landed face forward right into my head and ramming my knees against the tub. I have a knot on my head and bruised knees. I was out of it for a few seconds but no nausea or anything. I'm confident baby's okay. He's still kicking like crazy and am glad I didn't land on my belly. I have put down a rubber mat and am so careful now. Not fun. |

Thanks Walnut. I've been doing a lot of lounging around lately. I just don't have the strength to get on the floor and play with DS or run errands. Also, see my above post as to why I've been so sluggish.

No snow- Ugh! Scary! I'm so afraid these days about cracks, slippery surfaces, small hard flying objects (avoid baseball fields like the plague). I'm glad you're OK!
Ang- WOW, I wonder what your boss will say now you're going to take 12 weeks off! Tiki- How's everything? Tater/Wasabi- I've been feeling slightly nauseous, but not throwing up...I read somewhere that it does happen to people as they get closer to their due date. I'm having a DEVIL of a time trying to find shelves that will work in the room. Who knew it could be so hard to find something as simple as a wall shelf?! How's everyone's preparations going? |

Yeah irainei, I can't wait to see how reacts to me telling him I'm taking off the full 12 weeks! Oh well not much he can do is there? Well actually I'm sure he will hold it over my head. But he even tries to doc points on my performance review.. so help me God! I'm getting my review early, due to me leaving in Oct, so I may wait until after he is done to spring that on him!
