well, i've decided not to go for the graco quattro travel system. i went to babies r us yesterday, and the reviews weren't kidding...it's heavy!
so, i'm thinking about getting the maxi-cosi mico infant carseat, and it's compatible with the maxi-cosi foray and quinny zapp strollers. the foray costs $100 more though. either way, both strollers are lightweight compared to the gracos and the chiccos i tried out in person. anyone have or tried out any of these items as a travel system? please tell me how you like or dislike it. thanks in advance!

Big sigh of relief! Sorry I can't help you here as i'm unfamiliar with either, but I thought this was a thread for helping you pick a name for your new baby!!!! So glad I was wrong . . .

OMG I thought the same thing! Given the weirdo names out there these days, I wouldn't have been surprised if it actually were a name poll! (I'm just soooo glad it's not!)

I think either would be fine. I like the way the quinny zap looks. Whatever you do, I don't get those stupid looking ones that look like office chairs the ones that are high up, those are ridiculous looking IMO

I voted for quinny zapp.
DH and I are planning on getting the quinny buzz. Then I heard about the maxi cosi foray, and it seems like it has similar features as the quinny buzz. So we went to BRU to check it out. All I can say is it was a PITA to fold it. It's a 4 steps process to close it and the seat had to be removed for it to fold. It's just too much work. |

I'm voting for the Quinny Zapp> but to be honest, my vote is biased, i know nothing of the Maxi Cosi Foray, but i've got the Quinny Zapp + Maxi Cosi travel system. I went for the Quinny Zapp because it's frame when fully folded actually fits in my Mini Cooper S convertible's boot. Plus the Quinny Zapp stroller is really lightweight, even when the maxi cosi carseat WITH my 2 month old son is fitted on it. I can actually pick it up and carry it down the stairs
![]() We use the maxi cosi car seat with the cabrio isofix base. This base its really cool, it's got a little glass window on it that shows red for when the maxi cosi is sitting on the base incorrectly and green for when it's been fitted properly, it's not hard to fit, you just click it into place and the window tell you if you're good to go. The only thing about the Quinny Zapp is that it's not designed to have diaper bags hanging from its handles or the stroller will tip, but other than that, so far i have no complaints about it. I ordered mine in the red colour combination. ![]() ![]() I like how the Quinny comes with its own carry bag making it ideal for when we travel as well as a shopping basket that fits on the bottom bit of the chassis and a sun canopy and we ordered the rain cover and a footmuff for the winter months. ![]() I really like the quinny+maxi combination, we've received a lot of compliments on it and its really easy to maneuvre around the house/shops/etc. But it isn't very good for grass surfaces, so i'm currently considering buying something a bit more all terrain as well. |

I already got the Maxi Cosi Foray. Because it has a basket. And my husband doesn't like the handle of the QuinnyZapp.
And the fabric of both Quinny are not washable, this is one of the major reason we decide No on the Quinnies. I try to do the four steps many times in different store and baby fair before I make the final decision. I am also getting the Maxi Cosi carseat in green (Lemonade.) |

I wouldn't do the Quinny Zapp if this is going to be your only stroller. The bloody stroller doesn't recline. I bought one for my DS since it is compact and it fits in the boot of my car. However, it pains me each time to see his head bobble downward when he is sleeping. He's only used it once and I'm ready to get rid of it. PM me if you want to take it off my hands! LOL. My other strollers are Bugaboo cameleon, Maclaren Techno XT. I wouldn't mind buying the Bugaboo bee since it is a one touch-open system. I haven't heard of the maxi cosi foray but if it reclines... go with that one.

thanks all for your feedback!
initially, i was gonna go with the mico carseat, a carseat carrier like the snap n go, and a maclaren quest stroller...but my DH spotted the maxi-cosi foray in babies r us. he thought it was the coolest looking stroller. i was skeptical at first because of the price tag, but i told DH i would research the stroller further. for the most part, the foray has been getting great reviews. there's an excellent review on this stroller with the mico carseat on youtube by babygizmo.com the only con i see with the quinny zap is that it's non-reclining, and the foray is available in only one color. i did the math, and the cost would be about the same with the carseat/carseat carrier/maclaren quest combo. i really only want 1 stroller that will last and can use with the next baby, and i'm all for lightweight strollers. i think the foray may be the one. ![]() thanks everyone!

With my first three children who were very close in age I went through dozens of strollers and never found one I loved. I had a 4th suprise 9 months ago and absolutely LOVE the maxi-cosi foray. It turns on a dime, convenient, love the way it can recline all the way back to a flat position for infant to sleep, face either way....so light-weight and easy to collapse!
strollers have come a long way...I can't recommend this one enough.(the car-seat is great, only complaint is that it is a little heavy!) you won't be disappointd...I even use it as my jogging stroller! |

After just yesterday pushing my friends DD is the Quinny buzz I would NOT pick quinny. It was terrible for turning and is HUGE. She has a mini van and puts it in the back after taking out the third row.
