Default maternity Halloween costumes?
so Halloween is coming up and since we live in the suburbs now we will be able to hand out candy this year, which means i have an excuse to dress up in a costume (yay!!). anyway since i will be about 6-7 months along i thought it would be cool to have a costume that accentuates the bump, so I'm wondering if anyone has any cool ideas for a baby bump costume?

i've searched online and found some that look really cool and creative (see link below), but i don't think i'm brave enough to have my bare belly exposed (even with all the paint)!

i say go for it!! you have a gorgeous bump so show it off what about being juno or octomom?

i was just barely pregnant with mack last halloween, so i wasn't showing yet i was just fat, lol. i dressed up as a lil girl. cute pj set that i have had since i was a lil girl, some pig tails and slippers, rosy pink cheeks and a teddy bear. i was comfy and everyone loved it. i wish that i had been bigger then i would have rocked the bump :)

Ha...that's really cute! Pair it with a hard hat and your all set.

I was just looking at these two...

if you want a couples idea, your DH could be a baker and you could be an oven with a "bun in the oven" :) you could also do the 40's housewife and milkman.

I'm going to be a pregnant mermaid and my boyfriend is going to be a fisherman. I'll be 8 months along! I thought it would be a cute way to show off my bump. I can't wait!

good luck deciding!!! :)

wow, thanks for the ideas, everyone, i love them, so creative!!

nifferchic71 - that black t-shirt one with the baby skeleton is soooo cute. i found the boy version (where the baby has no bow) on the website, i might get that, so cute!! i might get that to wear on Halloween during the day and maybe get another full-fledged costume for the evening, we'll see.

and i like the couples-costume idea, but my DH *hates* dressing up, so i think that might be out..though i could try to convince him..

ok so I have always thought that if I had a big pregnant bump at Halloween, I'd go as a fried egg.

For some reason the thought of fashioning a white bedsheet around me, cutting a hole in the middle and painting my stomach yellow is hilarious to me.....
