I totally agree with this. I notice that if I sit there and keep telling him to eat it's more of a powerstruggle then if I get up and say empty the dishwasher or clean up the kitchen and have a normal conversation with him while he eats...it tends to go much smoother that way (that's after we get him to the dinner table of course!)

Thank god I'm not the only one going through this- our little angel, who is about to turn three, has suddenly turned into a screaming banshee much of the time. Over the past three days, the adorable little monster has suddenly decided she doesn't want to use any potty but her own at home (she's been fully potty trained for 6 months now) and has had several accidents a day-making daycare and any trips outside the house pretty miserable. It's driving us completely batty. And the food wars are ridiculous too- but like most of you, she gets to eat what's in front of her, or not at all- we try to give her at least one thing she definitely likes at every meal, and while she doesn't have to eat all of anything, she can't say she doesn't like something unless she's tried it. At least it can't last forever, right?
