Hi ladies!

Jennile and Hellokitty - I'm so glad you had wonderful and giving showers. You got as many diapers as me. I think I got 500 diapers and 1000 wipes. Can't wait to see your pictures.

BearyT and Viba - I've had pressure come and go down there too. I think it just her sitting on something. It makes you want to pee. I have also felt a sharp quick pain down there too. But it only happens once and then goes away which makes me think she just kicked something sensitive down there.

I have had swelling come and go throughout this pregnancy too, but it's pretty much here to stay now. When my feet swell up too big, my leg goes numb!! Anybody have this happen yet?? I go to the doctor tomorrow and will ask him about this.

BIG NEWS AND I MEAN BIG!!! I went to get my bi-weekly u/s today and guess what Jenna measured at?? OMG 6lbs 1oz!!!!!!!!! Some babies are born this size!!! I have 5 weeks to go!!! I hope my doc moves my date up tomorrow. I can hardly carry her around now, nevermind a 9lb baby!!! The genetic doctor said her belly was a little big and was concerned about GD. I already passed my 3 hour test, but she is suggesting that I have a 1 hour done again. We'll see what my doc says.

Niffer - Whoa - she sounds ready!!!! I hope you do not have to do the glucose test again. I wonder how my dr will measure what my baby weighs since I am not supposed to have any more u/s...hmmm guess I need to ask them.

hey gals, just checking into this thread... i haven't been online in forever since i've been so busy with family visiting and the shower etc

anyway my shower on Sat was great and a ton of fun. i hope to post pics sometime over the next few days. anyway i think there were about 25 people or so. we had TONS of decorations. my MIL literally had brought over a sedan full of shower stuff (diaper cake, favors, decorations, cupcake holders, etc). anyway, it was really fun, i was so glad how family came, even though we live far away from everyone (a good portion of DH's family had driven over 4 hours to attend our shower, DH's grandmother & aunt had traveled over 7 hours!).

as for the gifts, we got a ton of stuff, big things were car seat, pack & play, stroller base, arm's reach cosleeper, diaper genie, play gym, medela breast pump, digital baby monitor..also got TONS of cute baby clothes & blankets, including the halo sleep sacks. oh and dr.browns bottle set. i think we pretty much have everything now except for a baby bathtub and a mobile, which we will probs get today at BRU with coupons (they have a ton of 20% off coupons that expire tomorrow).

as for diapers, i actually only got a small pack (30 ct) of NB size plus about 50 or so size 1's from the diaper cake. but that's totally ok as DH & I are considering trying out cloth diapers as well.

viba - i love the name Evie! seems very feminine and cute, doesn't make me think of "evil" at all! actually one of the first things that came to mind is that show from the 80s/90s, "out of this world", where the main character has superpowers

hellokittygirl - that's so awesome about the surprise shower, how sweet of your coworkers!!

nifferchic - wow, 6 lbs, that is indeed a big baby!! hope if she gets too big they can move up your c-section. i guess if they did u'd have her before xmas!

jenniletv - glad your shower went well. and wow, that's a ton of diapers & wipes!!

and yeah i have been sleeping well so far (knock on wood) but i do wake up about 2-3 times a night to pee and to drink water. and yeah, getting up out of bed is a huge ordeal everytime. the good thing though is that so far i can always fall back asleep easily.

Sounds like you had a great shower Sweetneet!!!! Can't wait to see pics. I hope to have mine soon so I can post them this week.

There are a few things I did not get too, like a changing table pad, extra crib sheets, pack-n-play sheets, breast pump with accessories (this will be needed), more bottles (I only got one trial set), I need one more car shade, an activity center (kind of like a bouncer but they sit upright), baby gates and a few little things that I need more of.

So I have a few things left to get, and I know I want to get some of them now, but I may wait until Christmas and see if the grandparents buy us any of the bigger items that we had left to get.

Have you been cutting off sweets? Or just eat normal? I've been cutting off sweets and my baby's belly is back to normal from last scan.

Another sleepness night! I slept at 11 and woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep! My back and arms were all sore.. ehhh...!! I can't wait for the 4 days thanksgiving weekend!

sweetneet - Wow...you had an awesome shower, lots of great gifts and family that came as far as 7 hours away?? Very, very nice.

Just got back from the OBGYN...he was shocked at the baby's weight and the swelling in my feet. He said he is going to bump up my c-section to December 14th (37 weeks). Then he checked her heartbeat and when he lifted my shirt, his eyes popped out of his head. I guess he agrees with me that my belly is BIG! I'm happy to go sooner, I'm getting so tired and not looking forward to work anymore. Thank God I have this week off to chill. Since the baby's belly is big, we are going to do another 1 hour glucose test next week. Sounds like fun, right? Also, before they take her at 37 weeks they want to do an amnio to make sure she is cooked enough before coming out. I really don't want to do that, but I guess it's part of the process if I want her to come early. I'll just need DH's hand to hold.

I am a little nervous, even though I went through this before, it was 14 years ago and this is a whole new life for me again. Being pregnant is fun and then you think..OMG this baby is going to come out and my life is going to change (for the best of course). I can't wait to hold her, kiss her, snuggle with her, feed her, burp her, nibble on her toes, see her smile, etc...

BearyT - Good point on the amnio. Why would they need to do one if I go to get an u/s every 2 weeks and they take all of the baby's measurements then. I was already told that her kidneys look good, I know they measured her bones and they look good. I'm going to ask the doc about this next week to see if it's necessary. I don't like the thought of a huge needle going in my belly and possibly causing harm to my girl.

Jennile - I agree - it always amazes me how we have soo many posts and are always in the top 5 of the "Pregnancy & Parenting" section. We'll hit 100 pages soon.

I just got the Lamaze play mat that I ordered off Woot the other day and it's super cute (space theme). In stores is $70 and I got it for $29. Does anyone else go on Kids.Woot.com?
