Nope, i think my baby is well protected in my stomach. But from now on, I have to be more careful and remind myself that my stomach is not as flat as it use to be.

Are you guys feeling flutters yet?

I made my first official baby purchase this weekend...an owl night light from Pottery Barn Kids. So now we are warmed up. Its rechargable, so it doesnt have to be attached to a cord, and it changes color. Its tooo cute!

thanks ladies for starting this thread! i'm 31 (will be 32 next month) and DH is 36. this is our first baby and we are so excited. my due date is 1/31/10 and i'm 15 weeks! my first trimester also felt like a slow death but i'm glad it's over. only an occasional migraine and a little nausea at night. haven't gained any weight yet but hopefully that will change since the nausea is going away. we're having a boy and found out at 12 weeks! even though he was only the size of a shrimp we could clearly see boy parts on the sonogram! it was confirmed a week later through a DNA test. (we did genetic testing.)

do any of you have suggestions for baby room decorating books?? everything i see is too nursery school like. i didn't want to do a gender specific room but all i can find is blue! any advice will help!

I just felt the flutters! I was stretching my back and i felt tiny kicks on my left side. Wow that was amazing... It's definitely not gas or intestines moving around....

I am not sure if I have felt anything yet. Most of my friends have told me it starts aournd 16 weeks or so. I thought once I felt something but I am really not sure it was that. Maybe next week I will start to feel something. I am looking forward to it.

Welcome!!! Wow you found out early too!! My ultrasound tech at my last appt said it was too early to tell. I was 13 weeks then. Of course she was doing the Nuchal test so she may not have been looking. Maybe we can see something tomorrow when we go.

I wasn't sure if I felt flutters or if it was gas up until the past 4 days....now they are definitely flutters! I love it! Another great thing for me was the purchase of a home fetal monitor. I bought it new off of ebay for $90. It's been the best money I spent so far. I love to hear the baby's heartbeat...a great piece of mind. This is the one I bought.

I had looked into getting one of those. But I think my BFF has one that she is going to let me borrow.

I can't wait - for me it'll make this all seem more real. For some reason it does not feel real yet, even though I have seen the baby and have the ultrasound pics and everything. I am not sure why I guess I am still in some state of shock. Who knows why. I am beyond thrilled, maybe it is because I am not really "showing" yet or that I haven't felt anything, I really don't know.
