OMG, I soooo feel where you've been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember feeling so alone and desperate for ANYTHING that would work. I started around 6 months, some mild itching and then it got worse around 7 months. Turned out I had PUPPS, itchy severe rash that is THE DEVIL'S INVENTION! The palms of my hand, soles of my feet, belly, arms, legs....they all felt like they were on fire b/c they itched so badly. I went to my doc and she rx'd some topical steroids which worked a little bit. I just kept moisturizing like crazy (with Palmer's cocoa butter), swimming in the pool (water felt so relaxing), Aveenooatmeal baths, and cold wet clothes over my tummy, hands, and feet. As another pp mentioned, 2-3 weeks after having my DS the rash went away. I think I was in the small percentile where the rash didn't fade right after birth. Lucky me. You'll get through it. My hope is that I didn't sound too much like a Debbie Downer but just wanted to say I empathize with ya girl.

It will go away trust me. I know it's going to feel like forever though. I remember only getting about 3 hours sleep and being on tPF at 3am those nights!!! You'll always have us to turn to!

thanks everyone for your responses, suggestions, and support!

my itching is mostly on my belly...but my arms, back, boobs, thighs, ankles can itch at anytime and take turns torturing me. i do notice about 5 pinpoint old scabby things that originate from a pore or hair follicle on my belly where i scratched, and they are located where my skin appears to be stretching.

yes, i am guilty of scratching. i fear what i have is PUPPS, but i will do what i can to relieve the itch. i googled and found an anti-itch soap from rainer soapworks. i'm waiting for my shipment and hope it works! i just bought mustela ultimate hydration cream, so we'll see! i haven't tried ice packs yet...

drinking nettles tea was one solution i found on google...anyone try this? did it work for the itch by drinking it over a period of time? and dandelion root supplements...but i'm not so sure about taking this.

i saw an online photo of a PUPPS suffering gal's belly and thighs...it's bad. i would not wish this upon anyone.

lol.. im sure there are...cause its mostly genes.. but sometimes even if ur genes are good and u damage the skin's layer, u might get the marks.. plus it depends on alot of things.. like ur skins elasticity and weight gain etc.. imo, just to be safe!, dont scratch!

OH, I forgot to mention this....google Grandpa Tar's or something to that effect bar soap. I believe you can get it at whole food stores and online. I smells like a** but works great for the itching...smells like charred wood. I can't remember the name offhand but definitely look into it. I just remembered using it when you brought up the anti-itch soap. HTH
