Hi Mommies! Im 5mos along and seem to be gaining quite slow for this second pregnancy...for my first 8 years ago I gained a total of 38lbs....maybe because he's a boy? and Im having a girl this time....I started w/ 117lbs and last check up I was at 125lbs.
I thought that w/ second pregnancy....you are suppose to be bigger? just curious....I eat normally like what I did before I got pregnant and size of baby seems to be okay...I sometimes get hungry w/ some cravings but all in all this pregnancy was the exact opposite of my first....first trimester was like entering the gates of hell...thanks for letting me share...Im just so bored and can't seem to think of completing all the baby stuff already
I had twin boys and I gained 18lbs. I stayed pregnant till I was 38w1d so they are not preemies in any way. I was told by my OB to devour on any milkshake and burgers that I can find so I can gain "proper" weight and I didn't do it. I ate a lot, but all healthy and in moderation (and yes I did have my cakes and ice cream). At the end, my OB admitted that he was wrong about me. He said he was initially think that I didn't want to eat at all but thats not the case. Some ppl just dont gain weight by the book :-)
By the end, about 10 lbs. Am sure I would have gained more but had so many problems with food in the third trimester that I lost a lot of weight. DS was, and still is, fine though. Was back in pre-pregnancy clothes after 2 weeks.
I have only one baby and he is a boy. I was neither under or over weight and gained 30 pounds in all. I don't think it is a matter of how much weight you gain but if your baby is growing normally and developing as it should
I've oney had 1, a boy, and i gained about 28 lbs. full disclosure... i went overseas for about 4 weeks and was fattened up by MIL so I'm not sure i would've gained as much as i did if i hadn't gone, LOL.
Oy I think I'm at 35 lbs gained so far and I'm almost 33 weeks pg. Ouch!
I'm not stressed by it at all truth be told.
Yup as long as you both are healthy.... nothing else matters....come to think of it some pregnancy cravings are just too hard to control...I have no idea how others do it...like staying on track and gaining the target weight they want...
