Default Hi Parents! Quick present question, re: 6yo girl
My boyfriend has two female cousins who are about 6 years old. They are absolutely adorable, and I wanted to get them each a little holiday gift for when we celebrate Christmas with their families. They both love Disney Princesses, but they own just about everything available in that vein! Also, I am in college and don't have a lot to spend. Any suggestions? Thank you!

*I hope this was an okay place to put this thread, I thought the parents on here might have the best advice on this one! :)

My niece LOVES Hello Kitty, and there is such a wide price range for Hello Kitty. You might check with their parents to see if she is into HK, or what else she might like. My niece is super girly and likes dress up too. Her 6th birthday is today! And I gave her a princess puzzle, a feather boa and plastic jewelry, a Lite Brite, a cute stuffed Dragon, and some books. When I looked though, there were tons of Hello Kitty items. One of my favorites was a Hello Kitty Pillow (Kitty shaped) that had a zipper compartment containing a cute HK blanket. Great for traveling and also for the holidays in case she is tired and wants to take a nap. I'm probably going to go back and get that for my niece for Christmas. Also I steer clear of Barbie dolls or any other dolls that are super skinny. I'm sure I'm overreacting, but I don't want to influence her perception of what is a pretty woman LOL.

I hope that helps!

^^^ Yup, The Princess and the Frog! I just bought my daughter a Little Golden Books version of it yesterday ($4!).

I also agree that Hello Kitty is an excellent choice. Wide price range, and ALL 6 year old girls love HK. Every last one of them!

Aww, 6 yo girls! Doesn't get much better!
The good news is they're girly girls they'll love ANYTHING! Literally, little cheap purses full of lip balm or Webkinz, etc. . .

My daughter is 5 and LOVES anything Princesses too, but she also loves anything really girly. Lipglosses, purses, pretty costume jewelry. She also really loves the Fancy Nancy books which are totally cute! There is a website that will also incorporate their names into a book with a story you choose. http://www.identitydirect.com/index1...HSoQ&mid=40189 That is the website. You can choose a disney princess book for each of them and they are only 13 dollars each! They will incorporate their names into the story. That may be cute for them too!

If it were me, I'd do something a bit more generic (like webkinz, books, art supplies, etc) because every little girl is SO different.

Blueeyedgirl! Ask your boyfriend to ask their mom what they like to be sure. I always ask my brother to make sure my niece hasn't changed what she is into. Let us know what you get! It really is a super fun age to shop for.
