Unhappy help!! rash and a fever...
mack woke up with a rash yesterday from head to toe. its not like a heat rash, it is seperate little bumps and some look liquid filled. it seems to fade and then come back even worse. she was fussy yesterday and didn't want any cereal or fruit, so i haven't given her any more. she wasn't very interested in her bottle either. this morning we were getting ready for an appt that dh had [we had to cancel it and try to make her an appt so far no luck] and she felt warm...she has a fever of 100.9 under her arm. i gave her some baby tylenol but the fever is the same. i know she is teething really badly but she has never been this upset and fussy since she was breast fed. we are waiting on a call back from the nurse but they said call backs are taking about 2 hrs.

so a quick run down:

  • rash [seperate bumps, not patches, some liquid filled]
  • head to toe [even in her ears]
  • fever
  • not interested in food
  • very fussy [screaming and crying]
  • not sleeping well
anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

**nurse finally called back and they want to see her, so we have an appt with a different doc, hers is booked up. i hope it's nothing serious!!

From what I have been told, if a fever is not over 105 (I know that sounds high!) there is no need to try and bring it down with any medicine. A fever is your body's way of fighting off infection and trying to bring your body temperature back down is just working against it.

Her fever is very mild anyways. I would just wait and see what the doc says! I hope she feels better. My guess is maybe an allergic reaction?
