Hi everyone!
my Milk is finally back! not 100% so still need to pump and feed often but at least DS is not complaining anymore.

I didn't post yesterday because I didn't want to sound as sad as I was feeling...
I was already crying everytime DS complained when I nursed him yesterday.
I am not ready to stop BF my son and it hurt so much to think that it might be over...
So I was sooooo relived when my milk came in the evening.

from the bottom of my heart....
thank you all for your help and support!!!!!
I do not have a friend with me to talk with...
so it means alot to be able to reach out to all of you... thank you.

Great news ! I totally thought of something last night for you after I logged off. Beer ! Hey that is the irish side of me coming out. If you drink a few beers and also some guiness but mostly some ales and pump and dump while you supplement the baby with stored milk or formula etc that sometimes works wonders and you can have a little fun too !

Great news! I'm glad to hear it's doing better, and I'm sure it will get back up all the way soon.

I had actually thought about the dark beer thing, but it didn't work for me. I loathe Guinness, think it tastes repulsive, and I gagged down a couple of bottles of it when I was trying to get my production up, and it did nothing...

I've heard that beer is primarily helpful for ladies who are having trouble relaxing. Less stress = better milk production. So, a nice cup of tea probably has a similar effect for most of us.

Sarsi, another recommendation to get the supply up is to make sure you are eating a lot (of everything, carbs, proteins, etc) and drinking lots of fluids. NO DIETING!!! If your body can't sustain itself, it definitely isn't going to expend energy for milk.

I am nursing (a 10wk old), and am in the midst of overcoming a bad cold. The milk supply went down, but I forced myself to eat (even though I had zero appetite) and it's pretty much back to where it was.

I have been very successful at nursing and pumping (I pump 10-15oz 3x/day), so PM me know if you want any tips/food recipes.

Same here on the guiness thing. I actually went to the brewery in Ireland with a friend and gave my complimentary tickets away, people were looking at me like I was nuts but I cold frosty lager or Ale type beer with a lot of carbination.
