Has your pregnancy affected your work?

I'm still on my first trimester and I noticed that my production has gone down since I became pregnant. I'm always tired and sleepy. I want to throw up out of the blue and sometimes all I want to do is NAP. Being pregnant shouldn't be an excuse for being lazy but I just can't help feeling this way? Has anyone else experience this?

when i was working all i wanted to do was crawl under my desk and NAP.

do you remember seinfeld, where george would NAP under his desk....that was my dream.

i would go sleep in my car under a tree at lunch, luckily i had an suv...i actually had a bed made up in the back of it, down comforters, pillows, and alarm clock.

everyone knew where i would go...and one time i overslept, and my boss came and knocked on my window...i had been there about 2 hours. embarassing!!!

You should try to rest when you have a break... If there is a chair or couch you can rest on for even 20 mins you will feel better! Listen to your body! If it's too much, tell your boss..I started coming in about half an hour later and leaving about an hour earlier and that has made soooo much difference. I also go to bed much earlier now that I'm pregnant, I used to be ok to stay up until 11, now I'm lucky if I make it to 9:30!

I was definitely more tired and didn't work as late. I also didn't travel, since I had a lot of doctors' appointments (high-risk pregnancy.) I also didn't focus nearly as well. It was especially bad first trimester when I was really tired, nauseated, and had migraines nearly constantly. Got a little better later on, but still not my usual self...

Other than being REALLY tired sometimes not really. I'm in sales and sit all day so if anything it makes me push harder for a sale, so I can get commission and have some money in savings.

I do have to get up alot though to walk around, bc I don't want blood clots or anything like that. So I get up about once an hour and walk. But the boss doesn't mind bc my numbers are pretty good.

I'm actually really lucky bc since I don't see anyone face to face, I sell over the phone, I can snack and drink water all I want.

I don't take breaks and I normally take short lunches. I used to stayed an average of 10 hours a day at the office but now i tried to cut down to 9 and a half. I really should start taking my breaks. It's just that I'm in retail banking and I just cannot walk away if there are customers waiting, not even to go pee which gave me bladder infections :(

It really did affect my work as when i was pregnant with my 2nd they weren't very happy an tried to get rid of me. I did however take them to court an win all four cases an a whole load of compensation. It was a vry stressful time for all of us.

I have been the same way. Before, I was really productive at work and now...well, not so much! I am really easily distracted now and look for any excuse to take a break.

I was soooooo sick, I couldnt hold anything down, I had to sip water off a spoon.....whats that about?
I had a fair bit of time off but worked so hard when I was there.
The woman I asisted hated me for it.... she took my holiday pay from me & changed my job when I was on maternity leave & then made me redundant - luckily I had a good relationship with people way above her who were really embarrassed by her treatment of me & were very very generous with my redunantcy

Good for you!!! You'd think in this day and age a pregnant woman wouldn't be considered a problem, but I know they (we) still are. UGH!
