first i want to wish you a h&h 9 months!!

i had a UTI about a month ago and called my OB b/c i knew something was off and i didn't want to take antibiotics. unfortunately, they were no help (told me to drink Ocean Spray cranberry juice & i know for a FACT there is too much sugar in ocean spray to cure you of the infection. this is one of the few reasons why i changed OBs...sorry that i digressed there! lol), but UTS's are not uncommon especially during pregnancy.

this is what i did: i went to Whole Foods (you can go to any market that has an organic section) and purchased 100% pure concentrated cranberry juice. i looked at all the labels and picked the one that only had 3 grams of sugar per 6 ounces. it takes like crap but it works and flushes out your system. all you need to do is poor just a couple of ounces in a tall glass and dilute the rest with water, and start to drink, drink and drink some more. i drank it for an entire weekend. you can also purchase organic cranberry pure extract tablets around 400 mg and take those. i didn't need to b/c i caught my UTI very early b/c i noticed an immediate change in my body and knew something was not right. i won't bore you with TMI stories.

everything i said is all natural. if you're infection is really bad you may need to take antibiotics, but it's not unheard of to take antibiotics during pregnancy. i just like to take the all natural route. GL!

Congrats! Never had a UTI while I was pregnant but I know they have specific antibiotics they perscribe to pregnant women.

Thanks everybody!!! I feel so much better today I dont feel as bad as I did when I first went to the ER I have just been drinking water on top of water and I have been having a few back pains or whatever. But I have an appointment for my insurance tomorrow and then I will make an Dr. Appointment so hopefully everything is okay I am so excited!!!!!

Congrats! Happy and healthy 9 months!

And as the UTI goes, I had one right before I found out I was pregnant with my now 4 year old DD and I took antibiotics and all was fine.
