I love it, too. My husband actually thought of it. I wasn't sure how I felt at first, but it really grew on me. I kept waffling between Jane and Claire, and then a friend named her daughter Claire, and that did it for me...Jane it was and is. It's simple and understated, yet very feminine.

I am a fan of uncommon, old fashioned names and my favorite for a girl is Olive. My DS is Oscar and so far he's the only one we know!

Named our daughter Kirsty Eryn as always liked the name Kirsty and wanted her to have a middle name as I don't have one. Made sure nobody in family history (both sides) had either name as lots of Peter or Andrew so REALLY didn't want that! (brother, dad and uncle all called Peter and DH and his dad called Andrew!).

Found boys names much more difficult. Liked Jack but very common in Scotland. DH liked Connor...glad it was a girl as both agreed!

I like Alyssa because it's close to my name, Alisa (A-Lee-Sa).

I also like Ava and Corinne.

Would it be okay to expand this to boys' names too!? I love all the girls options you ladies have come up with and we have two we really like- but we only have one boys' name we like, and I definitely would love more options! I also still need a boys' middle name that starts with M (for my father who passed away when I was a little girl). ideas?

I also would love a girls middle name that starts with an S (for my mother, who passed away 4 years ago...) but the hard part is that the two first names we like for a girl end in "ia" so I don't want something that sounds too similar too that/ends the same. the only thing I could think of is Shane or Shae, but I don't "love" either... any ideas ladies? (we are also hoping for something that sounds a bit ethnic/unusual)

Our boy is Cayden so if our next one is a girl, I'm toying with:

1. Cayley or Cayleigh
2. Cayrine or Cayreen
3. Cayline or Cayleen

If I had had girls (I've got 3 boys) I like girls names that are abbreviated to boys names.

Harriet (Harry)
Georgina (George)
Charlotte (Charlie)
Henrietta (Hen)

What would the psychologist say about that ?

Also love Araminta (Minty).
