Default First Trimester Anxiety

Hi ladies!

I found out about a week ago that I'm pregnant. I've got my first Dr visit this afternoon. I think I'm about 6 weeks along. I'm a nervous wreck. I'm so worried- I almost don't want to get my hopes up just in case something goes wrong.

Does anyone have any advice for me? I would appreciate it so much!

I was the same way, still am b/c I am only 10 weeks but still am a little weird about telling everyone just in case. my advice is don't let anyone force you to tell anyone anything until you are comfortable. Good luck at the dr. today!

Good Luck at the doctors office! I was the same way with both of my pregnancies. The only advice I can give you is to enjoy this time! Don't tell anyone until you are ready and CONGRATS! Let us know how your doc appointment goes!

Hi Faith!!

You and I are in the same shoes! I missed my period a week ago, yesterday I took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive and I am having my first Dr.'s visit this afternoon. I took another home pregnancy test again this morning and those 2 pink lines appeared in like 5 seconds! I am quite positive I am preggers and I want to shout it from the mountain tops but I don't want to jinx it. Congrats to you and your DH and good luck on your Dr.'s appt today! I am nervous for mine too!

Congratulations and best wishes. I would just follow your instinct with things, do some reading about things to avoid, things to do etc but don't go too much on the internet because it can make you crazy with worry about possible complications etc so just do what you need to do so that you can be informed but don't drive yourself crazy !

Congrats Faith!

I am just getting out of the first trimester...and thank God for that! I was absolutely scared to death that something would happen. I honestly was so worried all the time I had to just stop..and say this is out of my hands...all I can do is my best to feed the baby and take care of myself.... So I did just that and crossed the days off on the calendar until it was time for an ultrasound. Try not to worry...only worry if there are signs you need to worry! No blood...no worrying!

It's so hard not to worry, just try to have faith that everything will be ok, that your body will take care of this baby. Good luck!

Congrats! I was really excited too when I find out and I was about 5 weeks as well. I'm now about 10 weeks and I'm still worry although the DR said I should be fine. All the test results came out fine. I think the best thing to do is just take good care of yourself and you & your baby will be fine. Congrats again.

Congratulations!
felt the same way too the first time coz we've been trying to get pregnant for a year.
Just relax and keep the good thoughts flowing...
Its the most wonderful feeling when your doctor finally tells you the good news you already know!
Hugs!!!!

congrats!! good luck at your appt.... I was the same way when I was pregnant I think it is totally normal to worry in the beginning, I know I will be the same way next time I get pregnant... Just take it easy and take care of yourself and everything will be ok.. just take it one day at a time.

i'm on the same boat as you. i'm seven weeks and have not seen a doctor yet. i'm scheduled for next week, but i've been a nervous wreck since my take home pregnancy test was positive. i had all the symptoms (sore breasts, exhaustion, and hungary at all hours) of being pregnant but because i have not received official confirmation from the doctor, i've been so anxious and having random thoughts about what is going on in my womb.

everything will be ok...just think positive!

Thank you ladies for the advice- I am doing my best to try to relax and take it one day at a time. I know these are all normal feelings. The Dr reassured me that everything is as it should be right now, so that made me feel better. We are not going to share the news for a while. Hopefully until I'm finished with my first trimester. If I can wait that long, LOL!

And congrats to sosti, ms. fashionista, Korilynn, txngo, princessDD, and all the other moms-to-be!!!

Congrats!! I am so happy for you and based on your pic, you are a newlywed!

My friend just told me she is pregnant - 10 weeks. They haven't started telling everyone yet; she is waiting until she is done her first trimester. She "had to" tell me cuz I wanted her to come to a fair and she said I would figure it out when she didn't go on any rides. She is a ride freak :)

Good luck!
