Dr. Browns were a lifesaver for Kayla, I used the Playtex Drop Ins and she never enjoyed her feedings, once I made the switch, absolutely NO PROBLEMS.

I found the straw/tube in Dr Browns more trouble to wash. I ended up using Avent. SIL tried Dr. Brown too and ended up switching to BornFree and is equally as good.

I kept one of my sinks full of soapy water and I tossed the bottle parts in them until the evening and then loaded them into the dishwasher. They don't have to be more trouble.

I just wait til I have 3 or 4 dirty bottles and rinse them in warm soapy water, then throw them all in the dishwasher or the bottle sanitizer. It's no big deal to use the little brush in the inner bottle parts - it's quick. The secret is to rinse them when they're fresh. If you let milk or formula dry in them, they're definitely going to be a pain.

I used Dr. Brown with both of my kids and they NEVER had feeding problems, cholic, etc. They were both amazingly simple to feed with any type of formula, and I believe the bottles had a lot to do with that...
