Someone commented in another thread that Ann Landers reported that 70% of people polled regretted having children.
I'm wondering if this is true?

Please ONLY respond if you actually have children, I'd love to see the results w/o being skewed.

Also, it's COMPLETELY anonymous, please be honest.

I love having children and would have more if not for infertility issues.

Ahhhhh, I added that as an option. Thanks!

I also battled infertility, I'm sorry it's gotten in the way of you having more

In my case I had twins due to fertility issues as well. I didn't regret it, but had we only being given one baby, I think I would have stopped right there. It's definitely not easy for us. I had a lot of tears when one of my twin had colic/laryngomalacia/silent reflux so let's just say that reason is enough to deter me from having another one.

One of my twins had those issues as well! Mine are 8 now, I can tell you he was my biggest pain as a baby but is THE EASIEST child in the family.

70% has got to be inaccurate. That percentage seems WAY high.

We have to hope. Right? That's tragic.
I can imagine some people regret them, but 70%!?

I love my two boys and wouldn't trade them for anything. I've been trying to push DH into having a third. Children are wonderful!

All studies that I've read or read about indicate that couples who do not have children are happier than those who do, but 70% was a lot higher than studies I've seen.

I have two of each and don't regret any of them. I love them each so much for their individual qualities, I couldn't imagine more.

I do remember feeling absolutely overwhelmed after having my third, with no sleep and three children 4 and under. I honestly wondered if I'd made a mistake - not that the baby was a mistake, because she was planned, but whether I'd made a mistake in thinking I could handle three. But things get better, and I truly love my kids, not just because they are my kids, but as people. They are fun to be around, and great to have discussions with, and life is fantastic now that everyone in the family can take care of their own bathroom needs and feed themselves!

ITA!!

I had a 3 yr old when I had my twins and I would literally swing from nearly crying getting up in the middle again for the next twin of the night to actually crying looking at 2 adorable little cribs not believing my luck!
