You know, I think everyone's experience varies. We loved Swaddlers, as did all my friends, and we are desperately sad that they don't make them past size 2-3. I have friends who love Pampers Baby Dry, but they leaked on my son.
If you have Safeway in your area, I have a friend who swears by their "Mom to Mom" diapers. She says they're the only ones that don't leak for her. I haven't tried them yet, since I can't order them from Diapers.com. |

Don't know if any of you have an Aldi nearby but I really like their store brand diaper, I find it to be better than Target's brand. I've tried a lot of generic diapers and like the Aldi ones the best. However, I only use them at night and when we go out, we cloth diaper at home.

I have only tried huggies and Pamper's swaddlers so far...hated the huggies, love the swaddlers. I stocked up on swaddlers when they were on sale, so I am good for awhile...but do plan on trying the costco ones.
I look forward to hearing what you think diva :) |

I will definitely let you know. I'm thinking of trying the Kirkland diapers as well since I have a COSTCO membership. Where did you get that adorable onesie that Emily is wearing in your avatar. I have a tutu already for Kayla but I'm trying to find a "fancy" onesie.

Yes, definitely going to try Kirkland because I love their wipes, so cost effective, gentle and handy. Thanks for the compliment.

Anywho, the brand is "Little me", I think that is Macy's brand, but I just haven't felt like dealing with the mall to check. |

^^ Nordstroms has Little Me, or at least they used to. I bought a bunch of footies there a while back. They were all on sale for $10 each, which is why I wonder if they were getting rid of them.

So far so good with Walmart's Parent's Choice, no leaks. I took Kayla out during an outing and we had no issues. They are not as soft as Pampers of course but no rash, no reaction and the price is definitely right, $5.74 for a pack of 48.
I'm going to try White Cloud and Luv's next week. This will definitely save money after my Swaddler's boxes run out and I go back to work and Kayla is at daycare. |

I've just switched to Kirkland diapers, but I feel like it's just not as soft as pampers swaddlers. I'll have to see in the next few days if we (Carter and I) like them! Otherwise we'll have like 180 diapers to give away!

What a nightmare, I started researching months and months ago, not one facility had any openings and had wait lists forever some into 2010 and even 2011. Due to state regulations for infants, most places at max can only take 2 children under two years of age. My friend older son's former kindergarten teacher opened up her own daycare a few years ago and I had her ask if she had an opening for April 2009. Low and behold she has an infant transitioning into the toddler program and had one opening available. I paid my registration fees back in December and Kayla is all set. It was a very nerve wracking experience because I think there is more demand than availability. I think referrals and references are key and I have the best reference of all, my friend's son has been going there for a year and she is very pleased.
Good luck with your search, there are lot of great places out there it's just the availability/wait list issue. |

Honestly, I don't think you're going to find anything as soft as Pampers, they've got that unique quality. As Kayla gets older I'm not as concerned about softness, when they are first born I think that is very important. I just don't want any diaper rashes or reactions. I use to use my wipes warmer, no more she gets the wipes right out of the container and she's fine, lol.
