Default Bathing Suits

What kind of bathing suit do you think is acceptable for pregnant Mommies?

One piece, bikini, tankini?

I wore a pretty modest tankini. I think anything is acceptable for pregnant mommies in general, but not me in particular!

One thing that REALLY bothered me about shopping for swimsuits last summer--I don't know if it's the case this summer--is that sooooooo many swimsuits were halter tops with skimpy little straps and deep v-necks, and I was like a 36DD from about six weeks of pregnancy, so there was NO WAY I was going to wear one of those things--especially around DH's family, which has a high proportion of adolescent boys! The suddenly-enormous boob issue is a problem for a lot of pregnant women, not just me, so I was really surprised there were so few supportive swimsuits. I got my swimsuit at Motherhood Maternity because it was the one place I could find a swimsuit with thick, non-halter straps and a decent neckline, but I wasn't in love with it--it's just that places like Old Navy were right out because they didn't have anything that didn't make me look like a pregnant porn star.

I think whatever you are comfortable with! :) For me that's shorts and a tank over my bathing suit...the shorts is due to my newly formed cellulite. :/ I don't *really* care about showing off my belly, it's the tightest part on me! lol

I found a looser tankini to be the most comfortable and I wasn't self-conscious at all.

Honestly I just wore my bikini. I had ordered one from Victoria Secret and the top was a bit large on me. When I got pregnant though, the top was perfect! The bottoms were still good too, so I never had to purchase anything. I say wear whatever you feel is comfy. The beach/pool should be a relaxing time! Enjoy it!

i want to wear my bikini.. we'll see though. I had no stretch marks with my 1st but im showing alot faster with this one so we'll definitely have to see where I am in August. If no stretch marks I will definitely have on a bikini.

I wore a tankini or a one piece when i was preggers but this was because i hated showing that dark line down the middle of my belly, my line was way too dark and thick, i absolutely hated it, otherwise i would've worn a bikini without batting an eyelid I think pregnant women can wear anything, i've seen heavily pregnant women look great in tiny bikinis, all i could see was how round and cute their bellies were

I say wear a bikini!! Show off the belly, because so few people do! I wore a bikini when I was pregnant. Even though I was only about 6 1/2 months, and only showing a tiny bit, but I think people still got the idea! Apart from my top half floating about in the water a bit, everything was fine Except for when my top came up when I went down the water slide. Thankfully no one noticed!!!!

I loved wearing a bikini when I was pregnant and showing. In fact, it was probably the least self-conscious time I ever had in a bathing suit.

As far as I'm concerned, a pregnant woman has full immunity from cattiness and criticism because I think everybody knows instinctively not to to pick on a pregnant woman's body. It's almost taboo, it seems to me, and people who do it come across as thoroughly creepy and deranged!

There was a poll in US magazine of Tori Spelling, around 6 months pregnant in a bikini with the question "Is this appropriate"
You know, something like 82% said NO?!!
I was shocked.
To hell with them though.

I have a fitted tankini from Mimi maternity. It's longer so it covers everything, but that's because I have stretch marks from my first. :(
I don't wear loose anything because I feel too "tenty" otherwise.

If you're comfortable in a bikini, I think you should wear it.

i think tankini its ideal ive seen some nice full body bathin suit also, i think they are cute, Also i think that it has to do on what you wanna show or what not, tankinis can be tight or loose on belly and also theres cover ups for bottom area in case you dont want to show that stuff like that. here get an idea:
