I want to know too!! I'm having mine around 31 weeks. My step mom had her baby shower set up about 4 weeks(?) Before her due date and ended up bringing my baby brother to his own baby shower!! (he was 34 weeks when he was born and thankfully he was perfectly healthy and ready).

My son was the Guest of Honor at his baby shower, too. He arrived six weeks early.
The invitations were mailed the day before I went into labor. Who knew!

I waited until after my DS was born, for several reasons. A) We were moving, and my SO's family wanted to throw me a shower, but we didn't get up here until 3 weeks after DS was born. B) My family didn't throw me a shower (which made me feel really bad because my aunt told me she was going to) C) My SO's family is scattered across Alaska, and they all flew in for the shower when he was 1 month old, so that everyone could meet the baby We sent out birth announcements RIGHT after he was born though
But for someone who is going to do it before the birth, I'd say at about 35/36 weeks.

I had my shower when I was 7 months pregnant. I was in the home stretch but at that time I wasn't as huge as I was towards the end. It was much more enjoyable this way. I think I had mine at the perfect time for me.

I'm due December 11th, and am having 3 showers. My best friend wants to host one as well, but seeing as how I love her to death but she can never get organized, I'm not depending on it to happen. My supervisor is hosting one for me at work on the 29th of this month~ it will be for my co-workers. The other two will be in October, haven't set dates yet, will probably do that tomorrow. The ladies at our church want to do one, and my aunt & cousin will be doing one for family and friends.
With this being the first grandchild on both sides, everyone is wanting to do stuff for us. I'm not used to all the attention, but my mom told me to just relax and enjoy it...it's payback for all the showers and gifts we've given over the years.

I had my first shower thrown by coworkers when I was 24 weeks, right before I moved. Unfortunately, I gave birth right before my 2nd shower in our new state, that was supposed to be at 30 weeks. We postponed it till my son was 9 months old, and he hated every second of it, lol. This time around, I don't think I'm getting a shower because it's another boy. Boo.

With my son, they threw me my first baby shower when I was 37 weeks. This was thrown by family and friends. I had two other showers thrown for me as well, and both were after the baby was born.

I'm due in March and my 1st one is December 6th. Then I'll have another one with colleagues in mid Feb. I didn't want to be too huge for my shower. I wanted to enjoy it and I've had too many frineds and family who have had their babies at least 1 month early.

I was due on the 23rd of september and had my shower on the 5th of September...gave birth on the 17th! Just enough time to wash and set everything up! I think maybe it's usually 1month before your due date though?

My baby shower was 3 1/2 weeks before my due date. Usual timeframe, in my family.
