Just curious when everyone went out on maternity leave because i am getting to that time. Im 31 weeks and the pregnancy is just now starting to slow me down. I have about a 3 hr commute roundtrip and that is starting to get to me too. Just trying to get a tally...
Thanks |

I went on maternity leave two weeks before I gave birth. Of course, if I had the commute you did I probably would have stopped working around your stage.

I was planning on two weeks prior, but my OB is making me take leave early (as in, today is my last day LOL)...so 4 weeks out. As it turns out, it's a good thing because I'm beyond burned out...and I don't even have the commute you do!

I can't imagine the commute - mine was about 30 minutes each way.
I stopped working at 37.5 weeks, 1 week before my c-section. My OB said she would take me out whenever I wanted - that was around 35 weeks - since I was working on my feet all day. |

I took overnight call up until 39 weeks, so I did 24 hour shifts. After 39 weeks, I worked 10-18 hours a day. I worked until the day I was induced at 41 weeks. I went to work at 6 am left at 6 pm came home showered and returned to the hospital at 9 pm for my induction. I could barely make it up the subway steps.
I was a very unhappy pregnant lady. |

20 weeks!! I'm on my feet at work (bartender) and have major back issues that are terrible when I'm NOT pregnant but horrendous when I am pregnant...I kinda had no choice.

I worked to my 38th week. Gave me two weeks to wind down from work and start prepping for baby. It worked out pretty well as I delivered a few days before my due date.

34 weeks with number 1 - he came 2 weeks early and that month off before he came was the best ever, so good to relax and store sleep before my world was turned upside down , i can't recommend it enough! especially with that commute, give yourself some time to rest if you can

I worked until my water bag broke at 36 weeks. It is tiring to commute 3 hours roundtrip daily but 31 weeks is rather early. You don't want to be sitting at home wondering when are you going to deliver, it'll make you even more anxious.
