Default April mommies the countdown is on...
I wanted to start a new thread because ladies it is now getting close to April and at any time one of us could have a baby

How is everyone feeling?

I have been feeling great other then now my ribs are being displaced and if I sleep on my side (right side) my rib goes numb and feels so weird so I can't lay on that side.

I am getting so excited and scared too!

I am on bed rest because of preeclampsia. My BP goes up and down, there is protein in my urine, which also improved after my bed rest. I have a 2 and half year old and a 10 year old...so I am not doing much "rest" I am stable for now, but have to monitor my BP daily and check urine dipsticks daily. I am hoping to make it to 38 weeks.
Other than that, I miss work !

Oh wow Holly Di not long for you then...Good Luck for the big day. So exciting

Mos...Sounds like you have had a long haul. I glad things have improved for you. I know I have a 10 year old too who has things to do and needs to go places. I can't imagine adding a two year old on top of that.

What's going with you Holly, if I may ask?

Looks like I might be moving into April territory instead of May if they induce at 36-37 weeks...aaahhhh! Not ready! Not ready!

It's a 99% chance it won't go past 37 weeks just because of the size and the blood flow issue- whether it's going to be a c-section for sure remains to be seen though.
As for preparations, for now he's going to have to sleep in a drawer seeing as we haven't bought anything yet, thinking we still had ten weeks! Argh!!!

I don't mind you asking at all!!

I have a history of some serious heart problems, I actually got pregnant about 6 weeks after my last heart surgery, I actually had 2 surgeries in that one week that sent me to ICU on a vent....I was told by 3 fertility specialist that getting pregnant on my own would be near impossible, so I wasn't concerned about birth control. Anyways, my little miracle baby has put a little too much stress on my heart, so my Dr's think it is my best interest to go ahead and have him. I had an u/s last week and the little guy already weighs over 7 pounds and is very healthy. Even though I haven't felt good at all dealing with heart issues and then everything that comes with pregnancy this child is the best thing that I could have ever hoped for, I would go through all this again in a heartbeat!!! Keep me and little Jackson in your prayers!!

I hope that all goes well with your delivery!!

I am an April aunt and my poor SIL is 38 weeks along and soo ready to deliver. She is uncomfortable, having difficulty sleeping and starting to experience BH contractions. Everyone in the family is hoping that the baby comes soon and my SIL especially is praying that the baby isn't late

I'm 35 weeks and due mid April...but I'm hoping he'll be early. He's measuring 2 weeks ahead so he's a big one! He's our 3rd and last child and we just can't wait to meet him in a few weeks! Just trying to get all of his stuff washed and ready!

Hi Holly di! Congrats on your miracle baby! I'm supposed to be an April mom too but because of some issues with my pregnancy now. I'm scheduled to give birth on MArch 23 too. My baby's also breech but I'm still hoping for a miracle that he will turn so I don't have to go on a C-sec.
