Cecille, I hope you get all your insurance stuff taken care of today. I'd definitely get over there and pick it up yourself. There's no better way than to do it yourself sometimes.

Ive_flipped, good luck at your appt. this morning. Let us know how it goes!

^^Isn't that the truth??? I've been patiently waiting for 9 o'clock to roll around so I can head over to the office and pick up the letter in person. Then I can just stop by my OB's office and give them the updated copy. How ridiculous is it that it's now 4/1 and I first requested the referral letter on 3/13?!? Is that nuts or what???

ive_flipped... you're up soon! Can't wait to hear your update!

Hello...I am back from the appt. Baby is head down still thank goodness. I love my Dr too lol he tells me how well I carry a baby and how easy it is to pick out the parts (love a man that can make a 38 week pregnant woman feel good about herself)
I am 80% effaced not dilated which for me doesn't mean much lol I go 0-6 with no feelings (or I did with son). I am in the waiting game still I don't mind at all though I feel good and no issues.

I've read somewhere that with subsequent pregnancies you are most likely to efface before dialating. I'm glad your doc makes you feel so good. At this stage, we can all use any kind of compliments we can get, huh? Does your doc have any plans to induce you? Was your DD early, on time, or late?

I just took my DD and dog for a walk and had a really sharp pain in my upper stomach. I actually had to stop walking for a minute. Thankfully, I'm much better right now.

oh I am glad you are feeling better. I got that kind of not so sharp walking to the drug store with my son.

My son was born 4 days before his due date. I went in to be induced because they said he was IUGR (which he was not she just likes to use her working weekend to get her patients delivered so she didn't have to leave office during week...I worked in OB later and found that out) He was 7lbs 2ozs 21 inches. When I went in it was busy I had to wait so finally I got a room they hooked me up to the monitor and the nurse asked me how my contractions were. I hadn't felt a thing not a tingle or pain. She did a check I was 6 cm. We were shocked. About 30 or so mins later the dr came in broke my water, I got up off the bed contractions started 1 hr later started to push and 1 hour of pushing he was born.

I am nervous I might do the same again but if water doesn't break I might not feel it....and deliver at home or car or mall lol

Interesting that you efface first with other pregnancies...I wonder when it will happen....

It will be interesting to see if you don't feel any pain for a while this time around. Hopefully you'll feel something so you can get to the hospital. Did you feel pain after they broke your water?

With my two girls, the deliveries were pretty different. My first I was in labor for 22 hours. I pushed 3 times and she was out. With my second, I was induced and everything happened so fast. She was born within 3 hours of starting Pitocin. They never checked me before giving me the epidural, so when the epidural wasn't taking effect and I told them I felt like pushing, they checked and DD's head was almost out. I had to not push and wait for my OB to get there. Luckily, she was there within 10 minutes and my DD was out in a flash. I'm curious to see how this one will go. I guess I'm holding out to be induced so that it will hopefully go as quickly as my last.

^^Wow! After induction you only labored for 3 hours! Lucky! I was induced the first time around, and I labored for 12 hours. DD didn't progress at all, and by the end, my BP was all over the place, and DD's BP had bottomed out. C/s was inevitable for me... Oh well, as long as they get here healthy, right? I really really can't wait until our LO's arrive!!!

BTW, got my updated referral letter with correct insurance provider on it... and it only took 3 weeks!

Glad you got all your insurance stuff done today. At least that part is behind you and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

I was really surprised my labor was so quick last time too. I definitely wasn't expecting that. That's why I'm a little nervous this time around about things going too quickly. I just got a call from my doctor's office telling me that they will induce me on the 14th, if it doesn't happen before then. I'm so excited to finally have a date and it's only 13 days away!! Crazy!!

I'm definitely delivering on the 17th, spartan you're getting induced on the 14th (if you doesn't deliver sooner), and ive_flipped due on the 14th?!? Haha... we could all possibly go in the same week! How exciting! I don't know which of you will go first, but I'm betting good money I'll be the last of the bunch!

We should start our own little April '09 tPF baby posse! They can be BFF's! haha...

^^too cute that they like to shop. I hope my DD likes to shop because DS hates it lol although DS does have good taste and will tell you if something looks good or bad ha ha ha. He's funny! My friend went shopping with us and she tried on this outfit that did look really bad. She turns to him and say "hey buddy what do you think of this" He looks at her and says "ummmm well ummmm you look bad and your a pretty girl but that one makes you look ugly" She laughed so hard I was embarassed he said it but she said nope that is so good he is honest.
