I am, and really dislike it. Love the girls, hate the other parents. There is tons of criticism that I'm not doing enough, but no one else stepping up, when I explain that GS changed the books and it takes time to revamp, blank stares. I've had parent meetings trying to get help, but so far no luck, seems like people are just looking for free child care. I did two camping trips, 5 badges, raised over a thousand in troop funds with cookies(we get .60 per box) and raised 400 for our service project. Feeling overwhelmed by the junior journey, and bronze award. Thinking about quitting.
Not sure my daughter is getting enough out of it to continue. I have fond memories of GS, want the same for her, but feel this is to much time and headache to continue.
If your a leader how do you deal with the criticism, and parents who do nothing?

I really wish my eldest would participate in the girl scouts. I think it would be really good for her!

I can definitely understand your frustration, though. I used to work at an after school care program and the parents were definitely worse than the children...which is actually a shame..
