Default 4 year old fighting for her life (neuroblastoma)
I came across this news on my local papers and it saddens me no end. A 4 year old Singapore girl named Charmaine is suffering from neuroblastoma ( A form of cancer that affects young children ) She is currently at the 4th stage of it and she has to go to New York City where the chances of her recovering is 50 %. She came from a single family and her mom is currently not working to tend to her. She is due to fly to New York city this coming thurs but apparently today she develops a fever. Please say a prayer for her.
She has her own blog and please take time to know about her and her fight against this terrible illness. Thanks

Thanks! I do not know her personally. I came across it while reading the papers and have since been watching out for her. And it broke my heart to see a child so young suffering like this. Please say a prayer for her. She has posted her address in NY so I do think it is ok to send her a note if U girls like. Thanks, once again

My ex boyfriend's little 3 year old son, Yano is suffering from this too. He is stage 4 with only a 30% chance of survival. You can join his facebook group at "HelpYanoFightNeuroblastoma".

There is a TPFer that was selling some of her bags and any profit that she made she was donating to this little girls cause. I know b/c I bought a bag from her and she told me after the fact. I think that is really awesome of her to do!

Wow... those kind of stories really hit close to home for me. My hubby had cancer when he was little. He survived, but lost his sight. As his cancer is hereditary, each one of our sons had a 50% chance of inheriting the faulty gene, and we'd have had to go through the same ordeal as Charmaine and her family. Luckily, amazingly, both our sons are healthy. I breathe a sigh of relief and hug my little ones every time I hear of a story like this one, and send some silent "prayers" to the family.

There is an update by little Charmaine's mother on her blog. It really saddens me no end. her husband is choosing to fight with her over stuff that I do not know of and she is not at liberty to say in the blog. All I can say is what type of a father is he when he can afford a top notch lawyer to fight his ex wife at this time. rather than helping his kid fights her illness, it tells me how much a man he is. I scorned him.

Thanks for helping to contribute. Please say a prayer for her if U pray. Her liver is not too good and she might need more chemo. Pains me to read that.

Sure I will. The children are all too young to go through this kind of pain

I hope everything will work out well for her and her mother. They are currently looking for an apartment with 1 bedroom and a kitchenette in NY around E70s. Any suggestions? Please forward to her on her blog. Thanks.
