So I am on Depo and have been for nearly six months, and a test said I'm pregnant. I'm really confused, because I can't be. Anyone else had similar problems? I'm freaked out to say the least. My mum got pregnant on contraception, but still. I didn't think this would happen.

Usualy those at-homes test are very reliable and have a very low/non-existent false positive rate. I would advise you to go ahead and make an appointment with your doctor to confirm the pregnancy and discuss your options.

Yes, I got pregnant with my first on bc.

My mum got pregnant with my brother on bc too.

If the test says positive, more than likely, you are pregnant. Take another test to be sure. If that one is positive, too, then you are for sure.

I've known a couple of girls that have gotten pregnant on Depo.

I agree that those tests are highly accurate, so I'd definitely retest and put in a call to the doctor. There's very little that can cause a false positive on them (with the exception of squinting at them way after the 10 minute time window in which they're supposed to be read.) I hope somehow you get a different answer, since you were responsible and chose a method of birth control with a low error rate and supposedly high reliability. Good luck!
