Hi ladies! Not sure if this was asked previously.

I've been thinking about BN1792 for several months. Recently I stepped into my Prada local boutique and viola! I saw a nappa gauffre in Black GHW. The very soft leather really makes me go wow!

How is the weight between the nappa / nylon gauffre? Is nappa easy to take care of?

I also read on Prada Bags: Now Made in China for Italian Made Prices."
Where are these gauffre (nappa/nylon) made? I don't think I like a Prada bag made in China!

I caught the Chanel bug too and already have 2 totes in my mind. This July I may pick up one during my vacation.

Question is:
If Prada is worth the money spent?
Or should I forgo Prada and go ahead with my Chanel wishlist?
Also, I can't decide between Prada nappa or nylon gauffre!

Me too. I am in a dilemma of choosing PRADA or CHANEL. I always love chanel because it is so classic. But at the same time, I love prada because its wonderful appearance of leather. The feel of prada leather is so great to touch. I myself am considering whether prada is worth investing as well. But I have to say that some of prada bags are really gorgeous and must-buys, like the gauffre.

I bought the nylon gauffre bag several months ago and it is fantastic. I mean the fashion design and quality makes me love it so much. It is also very practical especially when you travel cuz you don't need to give extra care to the particular material and it is so easy to clean. The top handle and the long strap can give you two ways of carrying it. It's perfect, I mean, because some people like the leather material in particular, so it depends.

The nappa leather is more soft and cool. I love it but nappa leather is some kind of difficult to care. You know what I mean?

I like my bag to be more practical and easy to use and that's the reason I choose nylon style. But whatever material you choose, the gauffre bag is definitely the perfect bag you can invest. Hope my answers will help you.

And I have to say prada bags are a little bit heavy to carry because of the beautiful leather and hardware. But I love it and I love the feeling of carry it because it can give me a sense of good quality. Also the long strap can help you with this problem if you don't like heavy bags. You can carry it on your shoulder when you go shopping and need your hands to be free.

I also hope to see more opinions about whether it is worth to invest in other prada bags cuz I also want to pick up one bag in June and haven't decided between prada and chanel yet.

I have 2 Prada bags & 2 wallets, there a couple of years old but still look great, I think if you buy a classic design then you will be ok it will last a long time but if you buy one of the Prada fashion bags then maybe you might go off of it, I have only recently gone over to Chanel but I still love Prada bags, I intend on buying the Stiffiano Lux Tote in dark grey hopefully in a few months time as I just think its so classic so will last me for years, also Prada are obviously more reasonably priced than Chanel but every girl needs a Chanel in her collection. the gauffre is really gorgeous! I think the nylon would be very practical.
But the prada leather is really soft! It is a different feel compared to Balenciaga!

Hmm so it is heavier!!! Perhaps nylon gaufree will be lighter? I've seen ladies carrying it and I always take another look haha! I prefer it with a strap too!
It's good to get more opinions from other Prada ladies!!!!!

I plan to get a Chanel tote bag during my vacation in mid July. so excited!! Just next month!

Are they prada nappa or nylon bags? I love the gauffre but still can't decide so it's holding me back! I also just went over to Chanel in March! Got a wallet and a Jumbo! I love them both! I need a Chanel tote or 2 if possible!
The dark grey is a nice shade! But I feel that it is quite boxy? And yes price wise ... Chanel price increase is driving all crazy!!!!
And I try to keep within the limit for my designer collection.

Which chanel tote will you get? Seems like you have made a decision of which brand to buy?

I'm still in the dilemma now. Hope to see your new bag.

Can't agree more. Prada's price is more reasonable than chanel's. Ladies can not always resist chanel bags and I am proud of owning the chanel classic jumbo flap.

BTW, Stiffiano Lux Tote in dark grey is a nice bag too. Seems like you love structured bags. As for me, I love the chanel GST cuz its beautiful shape, but sometimes I just love those slouchy bags that I don't need to pay extra care.

The Paris Biarritz or the new timeless CC tote. Whichever is available during my trip! I like the biarritz because it is bigger than Jumbo capacity and with a zip too! Fits my everyday use with less babying. And also for those days I don't want a chain strap.

But I'm still considering the Prada gauffre! haha ... I also don't wanna have too many designer bags because I can't use them all at the same time! They'll sit in their dustbags and my bf will nag at me lol!

Therefore, I'm getting the Chanel tote first! I'll do a reveal in july!

I have a brown Gauffre bag & wallet & a leather black patent tote & wallet to match the Gauffre is about 3 years old & the black patent about two years I also owned a silver hobo style but I sold it last year which I sort of regret but wanted to buy a Burberry mac & a Balenciaga so I sold 4 bags & regret selling them.

CHANEL CHANEL CHANEL!!!! i just bought a jumbo flap and love it. Its a classic bag that in such high demand every year since they have these freaking ridiculous price increases i bought my jumbo a week ago for $3700 USD and on june 1st, which is today, its $4300). AND, i waited about 1.5 months on 10 different waitlists across the country to get my hands on this bag! But, it was worth every penny! the leather is uncomparable to any other ive seen/felt. its gorgeous. Prada is nice too but one of my pet peeves is leather goods made in china. why would i spend so much money that uses cheap labor and not the best material? I understand that many companies use italian parts and just make the bags in china- but its not the same. I dont want to be iffy about a company for the quality. So in my opinion, go with Chanel!!

I can't really decide after seeing the official website pictures so many times. And also the GHW or SHW? I love the sand color with GHW best but I really am afraid its getting dirty. Then I want to choose the black color, but should it go with the GHW or SHW? Hope you can help me decide. Thanks.

I have both the gaufre and the jumbo some time ago but sold the latter as it was too common. no offense to anyone but I think every girl is buying into the marketing and hype.. and to be honest, I'm really put off (even disgusted) at the way chanel increases its prices so frequently.

do you have pics? I love GHW with black.. it depends on whether your accessories are mainly gold/silver tones and whether you wanna stick to the same or diversify.
