I'm only surprised that it took this long for me to see one. They're currently being sold from that authorised Prada outlet called "Facebook". There's another good reason to avoid facebook completely.

Hey Figgs! My personal favorite is the one where an on-staff Hermes employee was making Hermes knock-offs. Forget the details, but I had to laugh about that. I'm SO over designer bags.

Facebook isn't THAT bad. It's like eBay or tPF: it's all in how you use it and who you let in your sandbox.

So I ordered my first Prada yesterday with overnight shipping, and then read this thread last night. I was definitely nervous to receive my bag today (Vitello Daino Hobo). I am happy to say that I checked the tag and it states Made in Italy. Sigh of relief.

After reading this thread and checking my bag over and over and over again, I finally found it. At one point I almost went back to my SA to have him show me the tag. The ever allusive & frustrating "made in ITALY" tag.

I have bought my Saffiano 1786 on Friday in Prada store Padua,Italy and it also has made in Italy tag.

I haven't read every post so I don't know if the Safiano's were subject to China manufacturers, but I pulled everything out looking for the tag and found a "made in Italy" tag.

But! before I took my goodies out, I was looking around in the pockets. As I was very gingerly pulling at the double pocket (stitched up the middle to make two pockets) the threading started coming undone.

I was with hubby when he bought it for me at Neimans, so I will give them a call to see what they say about having it repaired.

Yes, it's minute, but we paid full retail - Not Cool!!!

Just called NM and not only are they happy to help me, but they are going to give me a new bag instead of sending it out for repairs.

Just have to all my hiney to KOP.

I think the saffianos I've looked at are all made in Italy. Some vitello daino totes (seasonal coloured ones) were made in Bulgaria (I think). Almost bought a black sale bag but decided not to cuz it was made in China...well at least the tag was still there.

my black vitello daino tote arrived today and happily it was made in italy.

My Saffiano Oro wallet was made in Italy. I didn't have to hunt for the stamp at all.

How about the nappa gauffre? Are some made in China too? Or they are all made in Italy? Thanks.

Have attached a pic but a bit blurry as it's dark now.
Not even sure if bag is authentic, had it authenticated before buying & have put more pics on authenticate this thread so will let you all know once it's been looked at.

From that little snippet it appears authentic. This is the Prada "Made in China" tag. The counterfeiters haven't started putting these tags in bags....that I've seen as yet. What bag is it and where did you buy it?

Edit Note: I saw your photos on the AT thread. Your bag is authentic. Made in China by Prada and authentic.

Thanks Prada Psycho, I love it so much & it really is perfect, can't find any flaws so I'll try & put the China bit out of my mind & enjoy it.
Funny that it came from Italy, just goes to show they will go to the trouble of making in China & sending back to Italy.
The bag is a vitello shine tote in rubino BN2323 & I got it from ebay & the seller was cuoieria & I have to say he was amazing to deal with.
Overall I am ecstatic to have my first Prada & it smells so gorgeous, can't stop sniffing it lol

Hi there! Mine have the same one as urs too. Diff colour. Mine is antico... mine don even have the made in china tag. Only have the number tag.. I bought it in HK Prada Space Outlet...

Forget the Prada purchase I was about to make!
