S,

I got back from Saks today and like ryry said, this bag in the amaranto (actual name on card) is sooo fabulous! I tried it on and it's not overbearing in size at all. I love all the options of carrying it and it's so elegant looking. It's VERY soft and smooshy, doesn't seem as rigid as I thought. The gold h/w complements this bag perfectly. Did you take the plunge yet?

I am wanting it especially now that I see everyone's feedback! I am sad to say though that I do not think I can take the plunge on this or anything else after my purchase latest non-Prada purchase here in DC.

Just like the hobo, I originally thought it was just another simple looking Prada tote...but duh! That's why I like Prada so much!! It doesn't scream "look at me" or "I'm trying to impress you without saying a word."

It's such a stunner in person, all I can say is wow....but I'm sure you (ah-hem) other purchase is just as stunning!

Well I'm sure the pang for a new bag will quickly surface and I'll be drooling over pics of this bag in your beautiful backyard.

Ok ladies I saw this bag irl today and I agree with those of you who said the leather is really, really wonderful! Even after trying it on

I did wonder if I would have a problem getting in and out of it because the top is at least several inches more narrow than the bottom. I think I am going to pass on this on.

^ oh too bad it has a small opening... still think it's very cute, but i think you made the right decision if you don't love it 100%...

Been eyeing it in etrusco/red/cranberry myself. Trying decide whether it is dressier than it is casual. It has a strap and can be worn across the body. I think that makes it look more casual.

aaaawwww, sorry to hear that but good for your wallet! I didn't think it was that bad getting in and out of but that is subjective I suppose.

Now what is on your "hit list?"

I think carrying it in the crook of your arm is more dressy. Carrying it messenger style or w/ the shoulder strap w/ the slouchy look makes it looks more casual. It also depends on what oufit you're going to pair with it. I love it but I still needed a little more room, hence I bought another bag.
