Ladies,

I spoke with a very nice gentleman named "Donny" at the head office of Prada New York who is unaware of any quality control issues re: Fairy Bag and Miu Miu Bow Satchel.

I've emailed and given him a link to the forum here and hopefully he can address or speak to some of the issues with respect to quality control- or lack of.

If anyone wishes to call and make a complaint/comment, please call 212 664-0010

The SA's can't be held responsible. Prada/Miu Miu must be informed asap.

Hope this helps.

i am on phone with Donny now...he is a doll....................the final thing he said was that.issue is being addressed and new and improved Fairy will be flying in.....you can put your name on waitlist with Danny or with local dept. store boutique, now, he said

first at start of our conversation, he says, though, "yes, i have heard that happening in the dept. stores..." i am like, wtf? like, are you saying that Prada sent defective Fairies to the stores but perfect ones to the boutique? i explained the situation more succinctly to him, and got the above reassuring reply

Something is messed up b/c I spoke to the Handbag Manager on Monday and was told the new bags are NOT going to be better quality. WTF?!

For the heck of it, I called Donny. He's being inundated with calls. I was again offered the opportunity to exchange but the question was, are the newer bags of any better quality? Unlike my previous conversation, I wasn't given the option to return and then go back on the wait list (which was the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time). Anyway, he's doing some research. When I hear back, so will you.

I was just told the opposite. Just another batch, no improvements.

Yes! Maybe he's confused! I'm so glad that we are taking this issue seriously and voicing our concerns. There's is no point rebuying a purse that may have the same quality issues.

What exactly is Donny's position within the Prada head office, BTW? I hate this whole roller coaster ride.

I walked in to Prada yesterday, since my regular SA wasn't there, I asked another lady about the fairy bags... she was nice about it but didn't seem to know what's going on... she said she had to ask her manager, but hadn't heard of any issues on the fairy. I thought that Prada SAs were already informed what to do? Earlier, I was also told that Prada was already informed about the ink-running issues and have taken steps to correct it. If this defect is a known concern within the company, why does Donny, who works in the head office, assuming his capacity puts him "in the know", not be aware of what's going on?

Honestly, this whole confusion about proven defects, unsupported stories re: supposed corrective steps, and dubious return policies is making me rethink about keeping my fairy product.

yes, its starting to feel like buying a puppy from a mill, finding out its sick, being so in love with it that you weigh whether to keep it and nurse, coddle, baby, and protect it, or return it.........omg, now i know i m losing it.....

You know, I'm having the sick idea of never using my fairy and then selling it in 3 years for some frightening amount.

yeah, sell her for $18,000, or trade her in for a Mercedes (if you don't already have one)! or a private plane
