You guys are cracking me up !! I hope you all enjoy your bags, I really do. I think the obsessing is just part of the territory with something that costs this much and is somewhat fragile (how about Persian lamb anyone -- if we had a coat forum I could fill you in on my machinations with that this winter).

At the end of the day -- stuff is going to happen to those bags, to any bag. And enjoying it along the way is the most important thing -- you all sound like you LOVE your bags and anything that makes you that happy I think is worth it's weight in gold.

I purchased two fairy bags....don't let your SA bully you...according to Prada...they have to refund your money....I called Italy...and they are reworking the bag...but Prada has demanded that they refund the money.

Do you have any more information on this? Have any US stores given you this information? What are the people who already own the bags to do? This is crazy, I am going to call madison ave tomorrow. If they are reworking the bag - I want to swap the bag that I have for the newer one.

Why don't you ladies carry something to put your bag in when it rains? Like the Hermes rain protection kit or any thin plastic bag? I think the fairies are too lovely to get wet and bleed!

I have to carry a thin plastic inside my purse...that's the only way to protect it. I got mine yesterday and it is very very beautiful. like a work of art..better than my jokes bag...sorry..but that's the truth

exactly!! what is the point of wasting $2000 on a bag that will get ruined as easily as in rain??? i mean, cmon now, RAIN??

maybe due to the high pollutions of living in urban locations, the rain water had a higher acidic concentration than normal rain water.

just a thought
