I was wondering what you ladies thought about this black Miu Miu bow bag? I asked the seller about the receipt and original tags, but she does not have them. If I get this, should I also take it somewhere to get it authenticated as well? Thanks

I can't tell you whether it is authentic or not, BUT for that price, I'd pay $95 more and

1. get a brand new one.

2. from a legitimate source so you will know it's authentic.

I prefer the old bow satchel because of its leather & gold hardware, but I do agree the price is a bit excessive since you could pay $95 more. That being said, it looks good to me though I'm no super expert... but I would make a lower offer on that.

I'm not an expert on the fairy bags but I see LOTS of things wrong with that bag. Don't bid on it till you hear from Rosemary or Prada Psycho.

I agree, the price makes you think if "it's too good to be true". I'm not the expert so I'd rather wait till you hear from Rosemary and Prada Psycho for the best opinion. Plus I kind of hate to give the "faker makers" a lesson in what's wrong(IMHO) but let's just start with the tags.

I thought so too! I compared it to another one that was authenticated by you guys and I noticed there wasn't any design on the tag. And I don't see how the bag could go under $1000 when it retail for about $2300. That's a loss of about $2000 with the price they're selling it for! Who would want to get rid of it so bad? Lol!

Even if you wanted to get rid of it, you get could a lot more than that for an authentic one. Come back and check and see what Rosemary and Prada Psycho say. Just don't bid on it till you hear from them. I could be wrong(but I don't think I am LOL)

I'd just say that I wouldn't bid on it.

Thanks sckcs! I agree the price is pretty high. Do you know a legitimate source I can turn to? Miu Miu or Prada store? I don't know if I can trust some SAs at Saks and other depts. because I have heard of some telling customers the wrong information and such.

I prefer the old bow satchel with gold hardware as well. I'm going to try to make a lower offer than that. If that doesn't work out, i'll try and find one at the retail price :)

You never know if you're going to get a SA who knows her stuff or not. There's a thread going on with a request for some good SA's. I'd start with that. Plus with Saks and NM, you can always return it if you don't like it.

You can also try the Miu Miu stores. Nasheema from the NY Soho store is very nice and helpful. I think her telephone no. is on a thread from Miu2 about some new fall Miu Miu bags.

Also start a thread asking if anyone sees a black bow to let you know. tPFer's are always great about helping.

Thanks, sckcs and Vinyl. I actually have a great SA from Saks in San Francisco who is really wonderful to me. There is no Saks in my state so I suppose I should just ask some tPFer's around here. Thanks I appreciate both your inputs!
