Ok so I posted this on SOGAA, but forgot to post here. This is gelaxy 14 and N9 with Sheek White and acrylic paint for the details. This took me about 5 hours to complete but I do feel it was worth it lol. I've named it my "Aztec Queen" mani lol. The blue N9 is a bit darker IRL and I have to say its one of the prettiest sogs I own. I'm in love with it.

Allyn where do you have the n9 on versus the 14? Is the n9 your base teal color?

My nails and health have taken a beating at work this last 2 weeks, so I'm overjoyed to have the weekend off to recuperate. Also, I will FINALLY have internet at my house this evening! Since my wait slot is 4pm-8pm I decided to take my time, do a nice mani-pedi...with GLITTER. Yep, that's right. Going to do hot pink toes and hot pink tips. With some bright silver glitter scrubbed into a few nails. Headed to Michaels to find some glittery goodness now :) Pics later...

Beautiful! The Aztec tribal look is one I've wanted to try but haven't done it yet. I'm very impressed with your clean lines. It would be easy with all of those details to end up with a real mess. You did a great job. And yes, the time was worth it, especially when you consider the smiles you will get from it every time it catches your eye over the next 2 weeks.

I'm sorry you've had a rough 2 weeks. Taking some time out to relax and give yourself a manicure will be a good distraction, I'm sure. Especially if you are going to use the opportunity to get creative. I know you will do a great job of it, you always do. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I saw this today on the morenailpolish blog. I'm totally buying some temporary tattoo paper!

http://morenailpolish.blogspot.com/2...orial.html?m=1

My DD has a TON of temp tattoos, so I found a couple small stars to test it out. It worked great! They are super thin (definitely thinner than stickers and I think thinner than water decals even) and are completely smooth with just a thin layer of topcoat. They also stick on nicely and didn't slide around when I topcoated. I'll let ya know how they hold up if I leave them on (since our new dress code policy isn't effective until may 1st I'm considering soaking off the lovely coral sunset for sonething that will not be allowed later, then reapplying this some other time.

You can find the paper on eBay or Amazon. :)

Instead of r***ing my mani completely I just added bling.

This is the SensatioNail coral sunset with 1 coat gelish izzy wizzy, and then a smile line of supernail blizzard glitter. I placed the glitter pieces by hand one at a time.

It looks posi-lutely fanci-tabulous! I like doing that with the larger glitters also. I use the small end of my dotting tool to pick them up. My eyes are so bad that I have to do it under a magnifying light, tho.

Guess what the mailman brought for me today???? Yes!!!! Am in the middle of yard work and can't swatch but let me at least show you the colors. Will swatch tonight.

Left to right in the pictures:
LeChat Madras
LeChat Queen Fierce
LeChat PISCO SOUR!!!

Pisco Sour in the bottle is a little duller than if anticipated, but may change on the nail. I expected a true opal - flashing lime, pink and orange/yellow fire. Pictures taken with flash in indirect bright natural light. And yes, I am wearing Layla Retro Pink. :-)
