Oh thats nice to hear slowhand. The large oak Alexa that I have my name down for, is in buffalo leather. A leather I knew nothing about until I read this thread. Thank you girls.

i wonder if an oak buffalo leather bag ages as beautifully as an oak darwin or natural leather bag? does buffalo leather get the lovely patina as well and darkens over time?

elkington, both of my buffalo Mulberry items are in colours, fuchsia and purple, so I have no idea how the oak buffalo would age. The handles on my fuchsia Bays have darkened slightly from use so I'm guessing the oak would do the same.

niel, my fuchsia Bays was £416 from the outlets which is roughly the same price as a regular outlet Bays. However, the Alexa is going to be more expensive than the classic Bays anyway - whether that it more to do with the fact it's made in buffalo leather or that it is a much-hyped bag, we'll never know.

I know for sure I can't afford Buffalo leather + python trim....but it's oh so luxurious....
