A reward would be nice, but unfortunately boredom was my motivation on this one,and besides if they offered me something it probably be a tin of collonil!!!! Imagine if the offered me a bag!!! Not wanting to sound ungrateful, but I hope(if in any amazing chance) they just gave me a bag and not a choice of one!!!!! God could you imagine,I'd get thrown out empty handed as they would get sick of me!!!---this one,or this one,oo hang on,maybe, ooooooooorrr, ooo this one, that one in olive...definately....oh hang about that one in oak,or that one at the beginning in mushroom,no definately that one in indigo.........no oak is more versatile.........what do you mean get out??!!!!!
I wonder how many of us will get like this at the meet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!xxxxx |

I am in shock!
Just to clarify, is collonil a spray you need to protect your Mulberry with? Is it all mulberry bags? Or just certain ones? If i don't use it, are they likely to stain in the rain? ETA - i have soooo much to learn! Oh and where do i buy? |

You can only use Colinil on Darwin leather,on glove leather you are recommended to use Mulberrys own nourishing cream. I have literally 'sauced' my bags with Collinil until it was running off,I am told on very good authority that this actually is the right thing to do!! And there will be no color change either I was told too,I think I saw a shade difference, but on reflection it was probably that the bag had taken on a nice silky gloss that it looked like that!
If you give them a good dousing, guaranteed they won't get water damaged, but make sure you do all the stiches well too. It was also recommended to me to use approx a third of a tin per bag.And as you can see from the pics it works!! I'm not too sure where else other than the Mulberry shops or outlets you can get it from, but imo,I would'nt trust anything else to perform the same so its best to track it down from somewhere!! Its quite strange, but after I did all this testing I spoke to a lady called Andrea who backed up everything I had done!! But to make sure that everyone knew that darwin and glove leather needed different treatments.. |

I'm glad you bumped this Chaz as I hadn't seen it and it just confirms to be that you are totally nuts or very brave!!!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened this post and saw what you have been doing to your bags!!! OMG! I'm also glad that you said that this only works on Darwin leather as I was going to ask that question (being a newbie an all!) |
