Knowing my look I would get caught, can just see the headline now, "Women caught terrorising sheep claims it was all in the name of keeping her Mulberry handbag looking good!"

>>>lol>>>>>>>>>>>I can see you hunting in my imagination. Wearing a snood would also be a possibility! Wonder what the headlines will say then!

Hi Ladies
I have a big day on Saturday when Im off to purchase my new Oak Darwin Bays....am making a day of it ! I've been looking for one on ebay for months, but dont want to risk it so will be paying full price
Anyway can you tell me how many layers I should spray it with before using?
I used a couple on my long locked purse & it seems to be ok thus far...also should I keep topping up?
Thanks Cath

Hi Cath,

Where are you going to get your oak Bays from? If you want to save a few quid, you could order it from Choice Online, they're an authentic Mulberry retailer and have an oak Bays for £495!

As for spraying with Collonil, I'd say give it a good dousing initially so that the Collonil is almost dripping off. Then you should give it a good spray every couple of months or so, depending on how much you use the bag.

Hi, I have just purchased a can of the collonil waterstop + UV protection spray, however on the can it says for smooth leather. I have a seth in oak that i want to coat, and also a Euston in the lavender darwin.

Anyways, was just wondering if i have bought the correct spray to use? dont want to cause any damage to my precious bags!

^^^ Yes, collonil is what is recommended for darwin bags.

Thanks Klp...I bought my Bays from HoF on the weekend they were offering 15% off if using Frasercard so got it for £467 so was quite pleased with that although wished I'd got it at Christmas before the price increase !
Hve sprayed twice before using & used almost the whole tin...since then my precious Bays has had a few outings in typical scottish downpours & has come through unscathed. Will now have to reorder to give the occasional topup.

Hello everyone! I am so shocked to see that chaz washed her Mulberry bags and am wondering... Is the waterstop spray alone enough as care and maintenance for the bag? Does the leather need any type of lotion as nourishment underneath or on top of the waterstop spray?
