Default The handbag that got away!

Just wondered whether there are any handbags you nearly got, then didn't , then regretted it? In May I couldn't decide between an east west patent and an east west black patterned. I went for the patterned and now regret not getting the black patent.....it's too late now...they are sold out .........and I'm monied out!

I had a gorgeous Plum Glace Roxanne which I sent back because a stud fell out. I was obliged to buy another one on eBay about a year later because I missed it so. The second bag cost much less but the purple colour had aged a bit by then. Guess what it had a stud missing!

I really wish i had bid a bit harder (eBay) on a plum glace bays and roxanne. I really want a plum glace roxy but had just purchased a mulberry prior. Bad timing!

Indigo E/W Bays missed it in the Sales, but then managed to buy one off eBay from a lovely TPFer.

For the longest time I regretted not buying a tooled Bays on oak, when they were available in the shops. I finally managed to find one and I love it dearly - probably even more because it was so hard to find.

I still regret not buying a Brooke in bronze when I had the chance...

The one upside of being such an impulsive shopper is that I have no "ones that got away"

I had an experience with a Mulberry bag like that a few years ago when I was traveling back to the States through Heathrow and saw a bag I really liked.
I was too indecisive to just buy it.
Well, it was a couple years til I made it back to Europe and of course the bag was discontinued by then.
Don't know the name of it, it was in congo leather and sort of crescent shaped.

Another tooled Bays fan here - I could kick myself for not getting one when they were available.

What a fab bag..........if only I could use a shoulder bag. sometimes i think mulberry had it right in the past to stick to fab leather ..country designs.

Also I'd have preferred an oak east west to my black largely because they develop such a gorgeous patina that no other colour seems to match.

It had a similar shape but didn't have the two different leathers or the buckles.
I think there was one on eBay a while back but the pics were bad and I couldn't really tell if it was the one I had seen back then.
It's alright though as my bag style changed a bit and I'm not sure I would go for that style anymore.
Am very happy with my 2 Bayswaters, Roxy, and Ledbury. That's about all I need from Mulberry right now :)
