OMG, Cosmopolitan that is gorgeous! I saw one in the glace leather, but heard that they damage easily? Is it like patent? I also heard they don't make this bag anymore. True?

Thanks! My Roxanne is the original Darwin leather (Mulberry now calls it "natural leather" I think). I've seen the Glace leather bags in the past, but I don't own one, so I'm not sure how they wear. Sorry. You might check out mulberry.com for current availability.

I posted this in the "post pictures of your olive" thread already, but I just wanted to make sure I was part of this club!

Thank you for the compliments! And I must thank the ladies of TPF for convincing me to keep her because a few months ago I had been thinking of returning her but now I'm glad I didn't.

Hhahahaa I'm in the club, I just bought a Roxanne!!! My third Mulberry.

I wasn't even looking for one today, though I've always had in the back of my mind that I wanted a Roxy because they're so darn iconic. I'd seen one of these Plum Glace Roxannes ages ago, but they were too expensive for me (went for over US$1000!) and I've never seen one again since despite being an obsessive ebay searcher, but today I got lucky. It's the Mulberry Roxanne in Plum Glace leather.. the Glace is produced by scorching the leather on hot plates during treatment.. it looks like a gorgeous lollipop!!!

It was cheap partly I think due to two broken rivets on the back - I've heard of Mulberry rivets breaking before, but am sure you can send them in to get fixed - but aren't too bothered by this. My Andrea Brueckner Weekender has a broken rivet that causes an inside pocket to flap and if that doesn't bug me, this won't!

This was my HG Mulberry bag and I got it for a song, am SO stoked!

Are the buckles magnetic with roxanne or do you actually have to undo them??

God if you do have to undo them , what a nightmare-Don`t think i could be bothered to get my purse out!!!

They're magnetic, all Mulberry bags have the magnetic clipperoos on them. I thought the exact same thing when I first saw it!

On that top right pic of my Plum Glace, the side-on one, you can make out how the magnetic wotsit sits under the buckles.

Here, this model has hers open, you can see the magnetic holder on the bag under where the flaps go.
