Mine is a rosy, bronzy shade. From what i understand the roxannes come with 2 types of h/w. Do not know if it is certain years though - hopefully someone will be able to help.

I used to have a chocolate Elgin (from 2006 I think?) which had the darker bronze hardware, and I seem to remember that other chocloate (darwin)bags from that era had the darker hardware too - Roxanne included. Not sure exactly when Mulberry changed it, but in recent times I've noticed that the newer chocolates all seem to come with the brighter brass hardware.

Yeah looking good Cat.

Have you padded Roxy out or have you just got your normal stuff in her? She looks like she's holding her shape well.

Thannks Hulahoop and Ali. Yeah I keep my Roxy stuffed with some of DH's old jumpers (and a pair of old golves in the front pockets, they fill it beautifully.) I can't for the life of me remember why I got rid of the stuffing it came with, but this works just as well.

the older chocolate roxannes did come with dark bronze hardware, and then they changed to brass hardware. there are still ones with the dark bronze scattered around the uk though. oyeh roxannes are now £695 due to a price increase by mulberry.

Here is my Roxanne from their autumn/winter 2005-06 collection.
It is a limited edition 3-colour hand stitched version in darwin leather, characterised by a “whipstitch” around the edges. (I believe Mulberry also crafted a Blenheim bag in this style). It has all the classic features of the Roxanne – two front external pockets, magnetic closures, appropriately shaped straps with rivets and hardware stamped with the Mulberry name and tree. The difference lies in its distinctive three shades. The main body of the bag is light tan, straps and parts of the pockets are oak, while the hand stitching, remaining pocket panels and base are chestnut brown. The photograph show how the colours complement each other.

Ladies, I saw a consignment shop having a small roxanne with strap! But the strap is short. I don't think it's a rosemary as it's wider at the base, exactly a Roxy but it's much smaller. Any of you seen such a smaller Roxy with strap?? Oh, i saw it in plum glove leather so it's fairly light and the strap is not removable. Once again, I'm sure it's not a Rosemary and I own a Roxy.

Probably a Blenheim then!

Nope, I have a Blenheim too so I'm very positive it is definitely not. Too bad I couldn't take a pic inside the consignment shop as I know a picture speaks a thousand words. But I'm also quite sure it's not Rosemary since Rosemary is slightly taller and more boxy. That's why it totally caught me that it looks exactly like a Roxanne except it's smaller and has a strap.
