Here's my wee one with babysister Rosemary:) Bought in 2004-2005. Best model ever! I just wish they had optional shoulder straps...
Um, looks like I can't enclose pic just now. Will have another go later then. |

hi. i have a question. i also own an olive roxanne in darwin leather which i bought back in 2005. i've been bothered with the water marks on the leather and some scratches. i didn't know the leather is so sensitive to water and scratches. should i go to a mulberry shop and have them take a look at it? also, the color has changed to a darker shade of olive. is this normal?

Yes, that's normal, as the Darwin leather is vegetable rather than chemically dyed, and it will patina over time the way uncoloured and untreated leathers will. You might be able to even out the patina with a conditioning treatment, and then if you protect with a water resistant compound like Collonil you'll prevent more occurring.
There are threads on Collonil in here, especially an epic one by Chag in which she subjects her Darwin bags to all manner of terrifying experiments in the name of research!

on the pictures on this thread some of the chocolate roxannes have bright brass hardware whereas others seem to have more of a dull bronzey shade. Were they made like that or has that just happened with time and use?
