Default Reveal or not to reveal....
Just got back from work and very excited to find Mr UPS had been and there was my parcel from Mulberry.
I was all set for a nice reveal this evening of my new mouse grey Daria satchel which I'd bought to work as a smaller shoulder bag and a messenger.
I was so disappointed to find the one Bond St had sent me was incredibly creased, nothing like the ones I saw in John Lewis.
They are now sold out so no Daria satchel for me. JL has it in burnt orange, which is lovely but too tying a colour for me.
I'm sure you'll understand why I'm feeling rather p'd off right now.
Still my bank balance will like being £550 better off!

Oh how disappointing for you!
I would insist on having the P&P refunded.
The Mulberry SA must have realised that it was not up to standard?

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that the condition wasn't as expected!

Not possible to have Bond Street call around and find you any others, or are they completely sold out?

Hope it works out for you!

Rachie, I will definitely ask for the P&P to be refunded because I'll have to fork out £8.65 to return it next day signed for.
The worst part of it is the bag gremlin inside me hasn't been sated and is still yelling - getting louder all the time - feed me!

Oh how frustrating SJ - completely feel for you.

Is it worth checking 'up North' to see if there are any available?

So sorry for you SJ!! I noticed, when I bought my Mitzy that the leather on the same bags was not the same. So much variation in grain, shine etc. Some bags really looked cheap! Makes me very nervous to order something from a website! It is also not what we are used to with our Mulberry bags. Okay, there was some variation but not this big.

Jo, I think it's a sign that I need to stop, have a good think and take my time before my next purchase.
Lady F, thanks. Actually it's put me off the Daria satchel, so now I'm considering purple Shimmy hobo or black Mabel hobo and a black Anthony for those hands free days.
BC, you are so right. The leather on the burnt orange one was quite smooth and crease free but this one looks like scrunched up tissue paper. It has put me off mail order as there's the hassle of posting back for a refund.

I really don't think you are a messenger girl SJ!! Now if there is an outlet special such as a rouge noir mabel hobo that would be your type of bag!!!!

My first instinct was "what has she done now!" - but what a pain to have to send it back. It must be a sign that you weren't supposed to have it though.

That's a shame SJ. I'm surprised that there is such a variation in the spongy leather. I would have thought that it would be pretty uniform.

Do HoF do mail order? My local one had a smooth mouse grey Daria satchel when I bought my Bays clutch. I know because I tried it on!
