I am very keen on the putty-probably the Clutch as I think it's more versatile and I'm worried it won't make the sale Those handbag imps are whispering into both ears at the moment...

MB. I know and it's not so expensive which mitigates the ever present guilt!

I saw the quilted oak Hobo and Tote today. Lovely but not as nice as Jackies RN. I like the black soft matte with the gold hardware too. It is really classy.

That's the problem- I *need* a smart black bag and I am thinking the shimmy might fit the bill but the RN quilted is TDF....

The shimmy tote without the strap is as elegant as it gets. The leather is gathered in a lovely pleat in the middle and it sits over your arm perfectly. Then with the strap you could wear it with jeans.

I'm talking myself into it now

O/T Did you register for the cheap Abigail promotion? I was going to post on the shopping forum but it's only Glasgow HOF. It's a raffle for their 160th birthday and if you win you get to buy a Cerise Abigail or a Chocolate Abigail E/W for £160. I think they are about £795 retail. I think I'll post anyway. I was thinking there is only us and LMM that are in Glasgow but Flossie, Selkie and Tiree are in striking distance too possibly. And I have maybe forgotten others. The draw isn't for two weeks.

You have depressed me with the purple/grey patent selling out. I don't want to pay full price.

Its croc print, like your printed bays! It was £650 but at least 2 ladies were admiring it when I was there, so I think it was probably snapped up very quick! It was lovely, lipstick red, so shiny and classy looking!

I heard about the promotion when I was in last week, I dont think I'd buy an abigail now, even at 160, so I havent signed up. The cerise colour is tdf though. Good luck to you and anyone else on here who signs up though!

It sounds like you're talking yourself out of a bays clutch and into a shimmy tote!

Oh I'd be selling it on or raffling it for charity. They are not my cup of tea at all. I'd try first to ask for £160 off something I actually wanted instead. They are obviously trying to shift the slow movers.

Too right! I love Flossie's clutch, just the right combo of colour and bling, but I just couldnt go near the regular abigail. It would be a better promotion if the winner got to choose any bag they wanted for £160! Leopard ahoy!

Totally go for it corrie, just think 99% of your house money is probably going to be spent wisely, a wee treat every now and again is a good thing.

I'm too good to myself though. I am always guilty. I hide stuff I buy even when OH doesn't care. It's second nature.

It doesn't stop me though

Corries, I also like the putty over the coral. They're both gorgeous but the coral makes my complexion look ghastly. If I had even an ounce of belief that I could pull off leopard print I'd go for the putty myself.

Lol at the handbag imps - they're littel devils aren't they?! I think I must have an infestation of them hanging around my pillow at night so that I think about handbags when I go to sleep and when I wake up!
