So my sister bought this bag for me without a circular disc and is now having misgivings about it- is it common to have"vintage" mulberrys without circular discs? She bought a Bays FYI....Am just wondering coz she got a great deal!

There was a period when Mulberry stopped using disks to try to fool the fakers. Ask Jazzyjay when it was.

This business of fooling the replica makers is really complicated!! But I can see how a fake bag wld have to have a serial disc just to pass off as authentic!

Quite often there are no discs in bags, across all the model range -some models including recent ones are also designed not to have either a label or disc. With regard to the bayswaters in particular, very early models have no interior leather Mulberry label or disc; some have a label but no disc, some have a label and disc but no serial number on the disc and some have a label and numbered disc!

wow!!! but thanks for confirming! The seller said it didnt have the disc coz its a "vintage" bays so I had a red flag in me mind! My sister's just got the mulberry bug btw:) god help her!!!:)

I had an older Oak Bays with no disc too.
Lovely Darwin leather though!

hmmm... so turns out she will keep the bag rather than give it to me- now since its- at least from the pics- a beauuuutiful oak bays I am really envious of her!I almost want to trade my butterfly bays! Well we'll see...
