^^Maybe their system can recognise that you are from outside of the EU and has removed the VAT.
You do know that you should never pay VAT if you order from the UK, right? You will be required to pay customs charges in Australia though. |

Ah, that must be it. And I can import goods worth less than AU$1000 tax and duty free under Australian customs law.
However, the interesting thing is not every online shop seems to remove the VAT. Mulberry doesn't, for one. I don't know why. |

There are forms they need to fill out with Revenue & Customs to zero-rate the VAT, but all they need is the information that is on your invoice (ie: invoice number, your name, address, etc.). Not all companies do zero rate, but sadly most do fill in the forms because that is money in their pocket. I really, really hope that Mulberry is not one of those companies.  I have noticed that Mulberry do not pass on the 2.5% VAT discount. They do on some of the older styles (though only a few), but they did not on the new season. I will be interested to see if they hike up prices when it goes back up, like most other retailers will. |
