Dear ladies, I have been looking at one "special purchase" Mulberry bag on ebay, unused with tags. The tag looks kind of fine, but under the code (many digits and stripes) there is a word "mulberry". I looked at my bags bought from stores - there is nothing (no word "mulberry" at all underneath the digits at the bottom of the tag. Please could you help me - maybe some of you know whether a genuine tag could contain the word "mulberry" at the bottom of the tag, or is it a red flag?
I have seen many fake tags on ebay, but the font and general design looks different on them. The tag on this bag looks identical to usual Mulberry genuine tags, with the exception of this word underneath. I would greatly appreciate any help, as I never bought from ebay and I am not sure I am not about to make a mistake. I do not know how to post any photos, unfortunately. The tag was also attached not by a black thread, but by a black plastic non-removable tag string (the one like what shops generally use to re-tag). This could be probably all right, if the shop had to reattached the tag to the bag? Or is it a sign of something sinister... ![]() ![]()
