Howdy gang....
it's been ages since I've posted here and hope everyone is well. so - I saw the White Bays in Bloomies (here in the US) last week and was not thrilled with the new silver hardware.....IMO - it's thick and "clunky" looking...very distracting and takes away from the refined lines of the bag. So - if you've seen it - what are your thoughts??? |

Ah, that's a shame. I haven't seen the new hardware yet, but I really like the *idea* of silver-tone.
I had been thinking that I'd really like a black bayswater, but with sort of dull silver/pewter coloured hardware. In my dreams though, it would be the same style as the original. Don't like the idea of thick and clunky, that's for sure! |

I like silver hw in general, but find the new silver on the mulberry bags too shiny. I would have liked matte or dark silver better, the shiny silver is just way to blingy for the mulberry brand, imo.

http://www.mulberry.com/#/STOREFRONT...2358/CATEGORY/ I wish I could copy the photo from the Mulberry site, but here's the link. You can see that it's a much thicker piece of hardware.....the rivets/screws that hold the plate in place doesn't appear to be countersunk (screwed flush to the plate). I think it may be the same hardware that's on the Agyness. IMO, just doesn't look good on the lovely Bayswater! |

I LOVE IT! I think it looks amazing. Very fresh. Gold would not go with white. It makes the bag look totally new. Me likey!!!!

Today I saw the white Bayswater with the chunky silver HW in a store - yes, here!! I didn't expect that, but I must say it really suits the white Bays.
A white Bays wouldn't suit me, but that's another story ... |

There is new silver hardware on my new bayswater bag, and I LOVE
it! I like the traditional oak bayswater too. These two bags are totally different.

That one is gorgeous - you are right, completely different in style (and I'm not just trying to justify getting another one)!

I'm unsure. Generally I prefer silver to gold, but this hardware is so much bigger and chunkier than the usual...

It's OK on the pale coloured traditional Bayswaters, but looks far too big and clunky on the East West Bays. I'd love the pink E/W if it wasn't for the hardware
